Security Tags
Just a bit of a warning to those headed to Disney World and will be buying merchandise..... We just arrived home a couple of days ago and found that we had 3 separate items from 2 stores with the security tags still attached. We had one shirt from Mouse Gears in Epcot and 2 hats from the Polynesian. Called Disney yesterday and they advised us that J C Penny has the exact same tags and should be able to remove them for us. The other option was to ship the items back, get a refund, and then re-order over the phone. We are going to take the items to our local J C Penny.
It's not a huge deal to us since we go to our mall frequently, but it is a mild inconvenience. The running joke in my family is that I stole everyone's gifts.

Call Disney Mail Order Sales and have your receipts available. The number is 407-363-6200. You may be pleasantly surprised at the results.

We had this happen last year after we bought some Tinker Bell sweat pants for my daughter at Fantasia at CR. Didn't find the security device in the waist band until we returned home to Canada. We called WDW and they asked us to ship them back (with a photocopy of the receipt) which we did. They returned them very quickly without the device plus they sent us a cheque to cover our cost of shipping them back.
