I am sure it is at least a couple of miles.

Distance, just over a mile.
Time, 20 minutes give or take depending upon speed and the route you take.

Time depends on if you're in the middle of a huge thunder/lightning storm and have to take shelter under the bridge by the Boardwalk for 10-15 minutes Now, who would have been dumb enough to try to get to HS from EPCOT during a thunderstorm, not us Yes, us....

It is a shorter walk than waiting for the bus at Epcot and going to HS. We've done both. This last time we did the bus because we rented a stroller and didn't want to make our dd 2 to walk all that way.

give yourself 1/2 hour. It took me and 2 teenagers about 20-25 min to walk from HS to BC.

I was there this past Saturday (11/14) and did the Friendship boats both from Epcot to DHS and back again. We were able to make the trip each time in about 30 minutes, but we were fortunate to catch a boat coming up both times as if we had called for it. The boat ride is very pleasant and much better than buses, IMHO. That much walking, on top of the normal inside-the-park exercise, is a little much for my DD5 so we did the boats. Robo's map above helped me make that decision--good info as always!

Hey we were there with you! The walk is very doable, and I felt like we did it in about 20-25 minutes with a double stroller.

I do this walk all the time from EPCOT to DHS as long as it's not 90 degrees out.I can do it in just over 20 minutes but I walk at a good pace.Remember to cut through the Luna pool at the Boardwalk to save you from walking all the way around the Boardwalk,ROBO'S map shows the shortcut.

Robo, you really need to add a little star on the overpass to note "good place to wait out a killer thunderstorm" - lightning hit in the tennis courts, one of the big white globe lights on the bridge snapped off and floated by in the canal, it was a great Disney experience! Those Imagineers really made it seem soooo realistic!

its also one of the best ways i know to wind down and chill between hopping or park to adrs in other parks. strolling with or without kids is a great experience. done it so many times and always stopped and chatted with complete strangers. its always mentioned when i discuss disney memories

i have a 60yo coworker who does it all teh time.. takes him slightly under 30m to do it.

Last week i took the boat to Epcot from DHS and got frustrated at the slowness of it, so i got off at the Yacht club. I made it to Epcot before the boat left the boardwalk...

Epot DS Walk

Thanks everyone. I had a copy of Robo's map but wondered the distance. We'll be two 50 somethings in good shape and a 20 year old so it should be a nice hike for us. Thanks for the tip on the shortcut thru the Luna Pool. We'll be there Dec 12 - 16 so weather should be good also.
