Disney gift cards at Giant Eagle - The DIS Discussion Forums

My DH informed me that Giant Eagle Grocery store in Central Ohio had Disney gift cards in 25.00, 50.00, and a 3 pack of 15.00 gift cards.

I haven't seen them in ours, but I know they have added some new stores lately. I was very excited to find American Eagle GCs there recently, and with the special 20¢ fuel perks per $50 of GC bought, I've been buying GC a lot lately.

does anyone know how long the gift cards are good for? Do they expire? We aren't planning a trip till 2011, but I'd love to buy a little at a time for that trip.

The Giant Eagle on Rt. 3 in Westerville did not carry Disney Gift Cards (I asked at Customer Service and searched the racks many, many times--this was last week.) The Giant Eagle at 71 and 161 had them, though. I didn't see any 3-packs of $15 each. They would make nice little gifts.

This would have been at Lewis center (23 and Polaris). The 3 pack was located back by greeting cards ( between bakery and meat dept) he says.

They do NOT expire

The local Stop and Shops here has them as well...3-$15.00 cards in a pack. If I put them on my Chase Rewards card, I get 5% cash back(gas, groceries or drug store)

They also have them at the New Albany one! 161 & New Albany Rd.

We were so excited when we saw them!

We always bring our gas cans so we can get the full 30 gallons.

DH and I have separate GE cards so that we take turns on whose card is being used so we don't waste the perks.

Anyways, The Giant Eagles in greater Cleveland now have the Disney Gift Cards too.

Currently $0.20 per $50 in fuel perks. I figure that is $16 per gallon off on a $4,000 trip (disney resort, food and tickets). Spread that out so that you would have $2.00 each fill up. In my case that would save me $240 in gas on my car, or if I used it only for my truck $400 ! (bigger fuel tank)

Imagine if Disney ran a promotion $400 in free gas with a 7 night stay. Think that would sell well? Here it is.

BTW the $0.20 on gift cards expires on 12/9, but they run it regularly, so if you are not going right away, spread it out and maximize it.

I have been buying them for our June trip. They are available at the West Broad GE and also the Hilliard-Rome GE. HTH!!

Yay! I live less than 10 minutes away from here! I think I'll pick up a 3-pack to surprise DBF w/gift cards throughout our trip!

We just got back, and I used these for everything! We are rolling in fuelperks! These gift cards are good for parking (if you're staying off-site), and even some kiosks take them (like certain ice cream carts). I gave each of my kids one as their spending money. I think these are a fun way to save some for your Disney trips, too. Even though I don't know when our next trip is yet, I will probably buy one once in a while (esp when the fuel perks are at .20).
