Help, where should we stay in June?

It will be DH, myself and our 2 kids ages 7 & 12 at the time of our trip. Our dates are 6/22-6/29. Because of limited points(200) we want to do a split stay staying at a studio for the first 4 nights, and a 1 bedroom the last 3 nights. The first 4 nights we plan on going to the parks and the last half of the trip will be spent relaxing and swimming at our resort and going to DtD. I can't decide where we should stay! OKW is out because none of us liked it when we stayed there.

We stayed at BLT, VWL, and BWV this summer in studios for our first DVC trip. We liked all the resorts but BLT was our favorite. However, the studios here were smaller than the other two and would not do it again with 4.

If it were me, I would go with BWV or BCV for those first 4 nights. You can easily get to Epcot and HS from here (walking or boat). For the last 3, it is a toss up-SSR is close to DTD but BCV has a wonderful pool if you want to do a lot of swimming.

Good luck!

WLV for front part of the trip followed by BCV for last part of the trip.

Both of my boys had fun at WLV resort with boats to MK. Rent a racer and tool around Bay Lake. Take the monorail over to Epcot.

BCV great pool for kids-be sure to catch the pool volleyball and bingo.
Short walk to Boardwalk for evening activities. We've been known
to play miniture golf in the late evening when temps are down. And don't
forget that you can walk in the back gate of Epcot for a meal or to catch
one of the musical groups.

That's my two cents!

Last June DNeph(11) and I did a split stay at BWV std studio (4 nights) and AKV CL studio (3 nights).
We love starting out at BWV or BCV (which has a great pool for your kid's ages) and hitting the parks strong. Then we move over to AKV and chill out a bit more, enjoying the pool, the animals, the great kid's programs and of course AK.
Also did a stay at BLT with DGrD(6) in Oct and we loved that location, too. So easy to get to either MK (walked) or Epcot (monorail). She loved the pool and the great programs run by Community Hall. Have fun deciding - so many great choices

I would AVOID SSR. Rooms are shabby and it took magic express 5 1/2 hours to get our luggage to our room.

Thank you all for such great advice! Keep it coming cause I still can't decide!

DH votes for BWV then AKV(Jambo)

I am leaning towards BLT then SSR

I will ask the kids today. I have a feeling they are going to go with BCV and AKV.

Oh the fun decisions we have to make as DVC'ers!

I would do VWL or BLT for the first part

For hanging and relaxing time - I like BCV

Thanks for the help!

We have decided to do BWV Studio Preferred or BW view for the first 4 nights. We love being able to walk to both Epcot (our favorite park) and DHS. Plus I read the BWV were recently renovated so that's a plus! I really wanted to try BLT but was really worried about the smaller studio size for the 4 of us.

For the 2nd half of the trip, 3 nights, we will be at AKV 1 bedroom Savannah View. I got out voted! My kids and DH wanted AKV.

Now the question is, do we do Kidani Village or Jambo house?

I am new to DVC as we just bought last week. But how do you move your luggage if you dont have a car to move between resorts (split stays)?

Thanks

We Love SSR

We loved SSR and when we got off the bus we took our luggage with us of the bus so there was no wait. The room was beautiful and everything was close by. WE took the our parents and everything. The buses to and from were amazingly fast. KUDOS...we are looking to stay somewhere else too????? Like the posts so far. We were thinking BLT this time if we can get in??? Anyone having problems with that ?

We have done split stays a few times and we never have a car at Disney. All you do is when checking out have bell services come get your bags and tell them you are going to whatever resort you are going to next. They transfer your bags for you! They are delivered after 3pm, I believe, at the resort you are going to. We then enjoy our day then check in later. Sometimes we have just taken a cab with all our bags from one resort to another. The resort will get a cab for you but sometimes they are already in front of the resort.

The 1 bedrooms at Kidani are not to be missed! With a savannah view, for sure, I would pick the Kidani 1 bedroom, if available.

I just booked and got BWV studio preferred view for June 22-26 and AKV Kidani Village 1 bedroom Savannah view for the night of the 26th. I have to call back on the 26th to add 2 more nights at Kidani. I only had 50 AKV points so I have to wait till the 7th month mark to use my SSR points to add the 2 nights. I am very excited!!! Thanks everyone for the help!!!
