Disney Quest info needed

Well, the long term forecast for our trip is not looking favorable to pool time and waterparks, so I am checking out alternatives. Disney quest would be a nice back up plan for us. I have never been to it or even the West side of DTD. Can anyone give me pointers and info on DQ? I have a 7 and 9 year old. How long do you think we would spend there? Also, once you enter can you leave and get lunch and come back in? Does anyone know where they post the hours of DQ? I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks a bunch!

My DS could spend the whole day there creating roller coasters and riding them if I let him. The sim roller coaster is awesome, and Pirates is alot of fun. There were some virtual reality games I would have probably done better at if I was into video games. There are old style arcade games and pinball machines and bumper cars that shot soccer balls at the other cars.

I thought it was fun, and DS thought it was a blast. His friend (a girl) enjoyed it as well, especially the coasters. That was the biggest draw. We spent about 5 hours there. They are both 13 now, but he loved it the first time he went at 9 yo. Saw older and younger kids there.

We added the water park options to our tickets this year; since we are staying at SSR and very close to DQ.

It is very, very cool!

My family loves it! Last time we were there was in 2006 and the kids were 14(daughter) and 11(son). We leave in 4 days and that's the first thing my son wants to do! We'll probably try to make it there a couple of times during the week. Have fun!

Oh and the hours on Disney's site show -

Hours of operation are as follows:
Sunday - Thursday: 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

I am very interested in any information as well.

We too, have never been to DQ. We have two 6yr olds. DS loves anything electronic and is a huge fan of the DS and Wii. I know these games will be much more elaborate but we have been too several large arcades, etc.

I just hope the money is worth it for that age group..
