If you could pick between:1 br, sv room or 1br, concierge

If you could choose between a 1 bedroom savanna view or 1 bedroom concierge at AKV, which would you pick? Trying to decide?

1 bdr concierge. There is still a 50/50 chance you would get SV with the concierge room. And the AK concierge in my opinion is one of the best.

Thanks. We have stayed concierge once before (studio). I'm just trying to decide if having the extra space & bathroom is worth giving up the concierge (since will be at Jambo and not Kidani)

I would like to try the Concierge and book the morning safari, and probably try the staff to get a few tough ADR's.

On the (-) side, you also have a 20% chance of getting the HA concierge room with no bath tub and I've heard the concierge food offerings have been really reduced in the afternoon/evening. If you are not booking the safari and you are expecting several food items in the afternoon and evening, and expecting an animal view, concierge may not be for you...

If you have already stayed CL, I'd go for the savanna view room. The only reason we stay CL is for the special safari's and tours available from there. We are doing the Wildlife Discovery tour this trip, so hence the CL stay, but I MUCH prefer having the guaranteed good view of the savanna! Our last savanna view room at Jambo was incredible! It was quite a hike down the hall, but a GREAT savanna view that I though was well worth the walk!

Thanks for eveyone's OP. I booked this morning a 1BR concierge room but just called back and changed it to the 1 BR SV room. We decided that we would rather have the little bit of extra space, savanna view & 2nd bathroom at Kidani than stay at Jambo (been there a few times). My mom will just have to walk a little farther to get her morning coffee fix . Maybe I could sneak some choc. on her pillow so she thinks she's in concierge .

I do agree that if you get the chance to stay concierge and do a tour it is awesome! Did the Sunrise Safari before and loved it!

I just got back from a savannah view room in kidani. never did conceirge, but to me, i'd go back to a savannah view over the conceirge in a heartbeat. I don't think there's much that can top hanging out in your room or on the balcony with the zebra and giraffe and all the other animals right there in front of you!

if you've never done savannah view, i'd suggest you give it a try. good luck with your decision.
