Bizarre Missing Child Case in NC

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/11/15/...irl/index.html

I've been following this case. I hope they find little Shaniya alive and soon. Such a sad and strange case. The first I saw of it was the little girl (beautiful girl) was reported missing and her blanket was found in a neighbor's trash can across the street. Now this. It doesn't look good at all. Shocking. Disheartening.

I have been following it too and it's very sad, unreal really, that something like this has happened to her. It looks like the mom is involved in some way. I am willing to bet money that drugs will be an issue somewhere in this story. Maybe the mom needed money to pay for her drugs. It's awful!

They've sadly found her body. I think a public hanging is in order for her mother!

Since she had been seen recently in a hotel, I was hopeful that this would turn out okay and she would be recovered. This is so sad. The mother is an accessory to murder. I agree with the public hanging.

Oh. I am so sorry to hear about that. I was hoping and praying for Shaniya to be alive. That poor child.

Absolutely. I can't even describe what I think of that "mother." What disgusting excuse for a human being prostitutes out a person, let alone her own 5 year old daughter

I personally feel that hanging is far too humane and swift for what this "woman" did to her very own child.

God bless and keep this poor baby angel.

Thinking of that poor little girl, and the pain her father was experiencing waiting to find her, I feel so bad for him.

There are so many missing pieces to the story, I bet we will never know what really happened.

I really DO want to live there!
I circulate my paper clips at work so they all get used or I feel like they'd be sad if they didn't get a "turn".
