Calling Grand Cali guests arriving on December 5th !!! - Christmas tree available

Hello Grand Cali guests!

We are departing (boo hoo) the Grand Californian Villas on December 5th. We will have a small mountain of holiday decorations we would LOVE to hand over to a family arriving that day.

24" BEAUTIFUL lit christmas tree
Balcony lights and extension cords
Snowflakes to hang from the balcony and extra contact hooks
Front door panel (Happy Holidays with Mickey and Pluto)

We leave at o'dark thirty in the morning but out friends will be checking out later in the morning.

We would LOVE to hand these over to a famly arriving on December 4th or 5th.

If anyone is interested, please PM me!!!

Thanks - but we do this EVERY year on our post-Thanksgiving pilgrimage in WDW. Usually we carry it to the lobby and find a famliy just arriving and hand it to them. This time I thoughtit would be nice to make a DIS member happy.

I just finished the tree last night and will pack it to ship tonight.

It's just beautiful and thought someone would enjoy it.

If you want to make your own...it's easy.

Head over to Michaels craft store and buy a styrofoam cone. Then go to the Dollar store and buy lots of flowers and greens.....christmas balls, packages of bells, glitter coverd apples and pears.

Finally - a $2.00 package of lights from Walmart.

It's easy - just cut off the long stems and stick the florals into the cone. Next glue (glue gun IS your friend here) the apples, pears, bells and other things into the tree where you need the holes filled.

Add the lights and you are done!

Or - stand in the Lobby of the Grand Californian on the morning of December 5th and look like --- you need a tree!

I really hope someone will PM me because I would love to give the tree away to a DIS member. It's so much fun to come to this board for Disneyland and I have gotten so many tips.

I have a friend arriving on the 5th, but she couldn't get into the Villas so they are staying at PPH. I bet if you post on the villas DVC thread you'll get a taker!

Sorry - didn't think to take one (not that I could figure out how to post it here either).

It was packed and shipped to the Grand Cali today along with the other decorations, hoilday gifts and special things we cannot live without! (like my MICKEY SPONGES !! Before a trip I generally buy a package of sponges and trace a mickey head on the sponge. I cut it out and it's the PERFECT place to rest our sink sponges during the trip!

pass the joy

I'm arriving with my daughter, sister-in-law and niece on Dec. 4th. (It's my birthday). We will be staying in the Grand Cali (not the villas though).

We are celebrating all of our birthdays. (My daughter will be 12 on the 8th). Even though we only get a quick "girls only" weekend and have to leave on the 6th, we are so thrilled to be there at Christmas time. We absolutely love this time of year.

It would be so cool to have a little bit of extra magic in our room. If you want to leave the "package" at the front desk they can call us and have us pick it up. Just label it "Celebrate Life" (Or you can contact me and we can connect)

I'd like to extend the favor and keep this going through the season. As we will leave on the 6th, I can leave this "package" at the desk for the next lucky group.

Thanks again for your kindness. Just let me know if it's still available.

I'm going to PM you right now with my cell phone number, name, etc. We can decide how to transfer.

I'M SO HAPPY. This is one of our favorite things to do and sharing now with a DIS member will be extra special.

I know you will enjoy the decorations but you will love it too if you hand over the decorations personally. It's GREAT being a Christmas elf.

We've had fun DLR/DCA, we will miss you while we are gone. We took 14 trips from July 07-July 08 and around 16 from Jan 09-Jan 10.

Passing forward

Leslie 537 - just wanted you to know that I'd like to pass this gift forward to you, and will leave this (box) with you (under your DIS name - Leslie 537) at the front California desk - (if they let me) for pick up on December 8th.

Hopefully you can find someone to pass this on to after you leave.....

Keep the thread going. (I'd send this note directly to you, but not really too sure how to do that - if you can get me your real name that might help at the front desk).
