gifts delivered to room before check-in?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but the title says it all:

How does one have gifts delivered and put in the room before check-in? Friends of ours would like to get Mickey ears personalized and put in the room as a surprise for the kids.

I was there in Oct, and my gifts I ordered from the Disney Florist did not come unitl late at night, after I had called the front desk 3 times.
But I must tell you that for some reason they were super busy the week we were there. I stayed at CBR.

Unless you are staying Club Level and work it out with them, items will NOT be put in the room before arrival. Once you check in, anything that was sent as a gift will be delivered to your room. If you are there, they will hand personally hand it to you. If you are not in the room when they make the delivery, they will then leave it on the table for you.

Gifts in room

I was there 2 weeks ago and ordered something for my son and my wife. I was told when I checked in to let them know that there was a delivery from florist at the desk. My sons arrived within 15 mins. My wifes arrived the next day it had liqueur in it, the 1st day they couldn't find it. The manager (who was very helpful ) located it but could not leave it in the room because a child was staying in the room. We picked up the next day at the lobby, the surprise was not there , but Loved it. The florist does a great job.

Rooms numbers are not assigned until actual check in so they can't put things in the room prior to check-in. Even staying Club level, we have only had success with this once.

We have had gift baskets at check-in waiting for us but it sometimes takes the CM's a while to locate it. I prefer having it delivered while we are out at dinner the first night but it's random luck when that happens.

It will have to be delivered after you actually check-in at the desk. Then, you can request delivery (if it is something the resort is holding for you) at the front desk or through bell service. Hope that helps!

Only a few times in the past has the florist delivered baskets to our room that were in the room when we arrived and each time we were in specific suites (King K, Royal Assante, Yellowstone, etc.). Otherwise the florist has left them at the desk and we received them when we checked in, or, for the Mickey's Grand Welcome and other In Room Celebrations, they set up in the room but tell us they prefer to do it the day after we arrive and during a prearranged two hour window when we will be out of the room. This worked really well and the kids were thrilled that "Mickey" visited our room when we were out!

I asked the same question and as previous posters have said, and from experience, it's true that unless you are staying a very special suite that you have reserved beforehand, room assignments aren't done until check in.

So the best you can do is arrange to have a package given to them at check in, or have it arrive the next day to be collected from reception.

Best I could do was arrange for a Mickey Mouse stuffed toy from the Disney store to be sent to my son at the hotel so it was there when we arrived, when we checked in the clerk said "I have a package for you" and came back with it a second later, it was personally addressed to my son, and when he opened it you should have seen his face, it was priceless. The fact it wasn't waiting in the room bothered him not a jot - he felt very special getting his own package on arrival at check in.
