Importing transferred points...How?

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the ins and outs and what-have-yous of the deal.

We want to go with my sibling and her family and share a two bed lock off. However, we don't have enough points to do it ourselves and would like to avoid them having to rent as this would lead to separate resseis and the possibility of not having adjoining rooms.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just find another member to transfer the points you need to you. If you need to book at 11 months out, transfer points for your home resort.

Or book as many days as possible with your points and then rent the remaining for cash.

Yellowstone was amazing and is a lot more inviting than Disney right now. Could we be selling it all in the near future? Maybe.

Thank you for your reply but we were looking for more answers on the logistical side of the topic. I should have been more specific in my request. We have never transfered in or out of our account and don't know any of the potential pitfalls that may accompany this type of transaction.

Thanks again

Post a request on the Rent/Trade board with your request. Read the threads at the top of the board to make sure you post your thread correctly. Also, those threads will give you info about getting a transfer.

As with all transactions with "strangers" there are risks, when I have done it (transfering in) I did 50% prior to transfer and 50% once the points were in my account. If you have any doubts, have the terms formally written out and tranferded between you and the seller by US mail (most con artists will not do this since this would put them at risk for federal mail fraud).

MS will have you approve the transfer in before they will do it.
