Wow, I"ve been following this story pretty closely and never would have guessed this.....so sad. This is when you wish you could just instantly adopt her and offer her the calm, normal, painfree life all little ones deserve. (Well, guess all people deserve that - but, wow, she's just a baby...
 )

People use their children like this all the time. DH is a child protective worker who once had a case where the mother was allowing the landlord to rape her 10 year old dd in exchange for rent and drugs.

It's so very sad! We have seen a lot about this, since I live in NC. Here is a link to the local new station, which has several news stories and videos about the developments. I just hope Shaniya is found safe and given back to her father. And I hope all the people involved are locked up for good!

They just had a "breaking news" break on TV. They're searching a field in Lee County so that tells me that she may not be alive.

DH and I spent lots of time, money and energy.....not to mention tears and heartbreak, just trying to have one baby. When they show Shaniya's face on TV, all I see is a little angel, just an adorable child. The sort of child most people would be thrilled to have. I would love to have some time alone with her "mother."
Things like this are why I realized long ago that God surely has no hand in who has/does not have babies. If He did, DH and I (and many like us) wouldn't have suffered with infertility and people like this creature wouldn't be blessed with sweet little children they then torture instead of adore.

What on earth is wrong with people??? How can you sell a 5 year old child into that? Since I'm also in NC I've seen a good bit of it on our news. This turns my stomach. I hope they find her safe & sound somewhere. I hope someone figured out what was going on and took her to safety.

I am in NC too and saw this earlier today. I just could not believe that a mother would do something like that. Its just beyond comprehension! DH said he hopes the police put her in a cell with a whole bunch of other people and the news turned on 24 hours a day...prison justice is what she deserves.
