You have to come home sometime! I guess it'd be a bummer on your B'day, but it's better than not going at all, right?

To keep from crying, you could start planning in your mind for your next trip.

Being there at all near your B-day is a b-day treat - it doesnt have to be that the very best things happen on the EXACT day. As Oprah says' it's Birthday WEEK" It might help to think of those that cant even dream of ever going there...

Have a great trip!

The night before we left to come home, my DGD (8 at the time) cried her heart out.. I mean REALLY sobbing because she didn't want to leave.. We were having such an awesome trip, but - she also loves school - her grades are very, very important to her - so after she had her cry, she was fine..

You really need to put your education first.. It's a top priority!

Just be grateful that you are going at all. No need for tears.

OP - what time are you leaving on your birthday? Could you do a special final meal, or something like that?

We left WDW on Christmas Day but we knew we had something to look forward to when we got home - opening presents, dinner w/the grandparents, etc.

I would plan to have your birthday celebration when you get home. Don't open any presents during your trip. Then you'll have something fun to do as soon as you get home.

OP, my advice would be to just set your mind ahead of time that your actual celebration will be the weekend before your birthday. It's only a day. The celebration is what really matters, and that can happen on ANY day!! Have fun!!! Don't dwell on having to leave.

School is important, so you shouldn't miss it, or at least you should miss the least amount possible.

I always try to have an other trip "in the works" so when I am there, I know I will be back. Since you will be there for the Night of Joy soon after your birthday trip, just look forward to that when you are leaving....

So you are going back for night of joy? And your wedding is at Disney also? Is this trip for your planning session?

Don't be sad! I would be excited to have that many trips in the works!

Is your wedding pirate and princess themed? If you are doing a Disney wedding, you should start a planning journal on the wedding board.
