Crowds & Weather Mid March? - The DIS Discussion Forums

For those of you that have gone in the middle of March, how was the weather and crowds? I know that it is spring break time but does that make it crazy busy?

We went March 14-21 this year for Spring Break. It was very, very busy! We ran into groups from Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee who were also on Spring Break. If you go, be prepared with a good touring plan.

The weather, on the other hand, was absolutely wonderful! Not too hot, not too cold. It was perfect!

*Based on this year's trip, we cancelled our Spring Break 2010 trip (March 13-20) and rescheduled a May trip.

That is the time of year we always USE to go. The weather was always good, but after going at other times, the crowds are bad because of Spring Break. The closer you are to Easter the worse it is. That being said, you can handle it if you are patience and do a little planning. We always found the crowds really start arriving about 10am and start to decrease right after the 3pm parade. They peak again just after dinner time but don't always lessen through the evening, especially with EMH.

I went in mid March 2006 and it was crowded, but not unmanagable. The weather was ok, I thought it was pretty cool and didnt use the pool at all. Im currently planning a March 2011 trip.
