Art the Greeter @ BCV
Just a little info, we arrived at BCV on 10/30 for our ten day trip and asked when we checked in where Art was. It turns out that he retired the week before. I am sure that many of us wish him a very happy and healthy retirement but he will be missed! We had the pleasure of many conversations with him and what an absolutely great gentleman! He was everything you expect from a Disney cast member. All the best to him.

I think October 17 was Art's last day.
jdvm posted a great photo of Art along with a note about his plans to retire in this post from The Everyday Adventures of the Purple Van and here another post about Art's retirement from an old thread devoted entirely to Art the Greeter. He was a great asset and will be missed.

October 17th was Art's last day. DS wished him well while I checked into the BCV. Art welled with tears and told DS how much he loved his job and that he was going to miss everybody.
He certainly was an assest.

Here's a pic of us with Art on Oct 13th. I had no idea his retirement was so soon.
The manager that took the picture said that he was sorry to be loosing Art on his watch! Very nice manager! Good luck, Art!!! Edit: BTW we didn't plan the matching clothes, it just worked out that way. I never noticed until I saw the pic!
