Chip N Dale campfire singalong?

Not sure if this should be under resorts, so please feel free to move this if it's in the wrong thread!

My DD would love to meet Chip N Dale, and every time we found them at the MK, they were taking a break or gone for the day on our last trip. I want to make sure I have a plan B if we can't find them again.

I read about a campfire singalong at Fort Wilderness that they attend. I was curious if this is held every night, and if so, what time? Are they always there? How long does the singalong last? If you take a boat over to FW from the CR, how much time should you allow to get to the campsite? Is it far to walk from the boat dock to the campsite?

I'd love any info you have on this outing. TIA for your help

LOVE this. Pretyt easy boatride from the CR. And you can hop on a bus internally at the campgrounds to get you to the movie. Just ask the busdriver.
As far as what tiem- it's different at different times of year. Usually lighting is around 7 or so and the movie always starts after dark w/ the singalong being prior to that. There's smores kits to buy and the interaction and singalong are very cute. singalong is about 30 minutes maybe?
they post a movie scheudle at the beginning of the month and it is every nite- weather permitting.
If you allow 30 minutes from CR you should be fine on time. But if you get to the campgrounds early- there's plenty to walk aroudn adn see.

Yes - it is offered pretty much nightly. I think it might get cancelled infrequently due to extreme weather.

The schedule moves forward or back one hour due to daylight savings time / longer days but here is the current schedule:

6:30pm - Fire lighting and S'Mores (S'mores Kits sold at the concession stand)
7:00pm - Campfire Sing-A-Long with Chip -n- Dale
7:40pm - The Movie Starts
9:15pm - The second movie starts if there is one scheduled

I think Chip & Dale are always there.

Here's some information that should help: http://www.buildabettermousetrip.com...y-campfire.php

I hear the campground is a lot of fun!

But if your main goal is to meet chip and dale, they meet at all four parks: http://sites.google.com/site/wdwchar.../vips/chipdale

It is a lot of fun, but you only get to meet one of them. Chip takes one side and Dale takes the other.

I don't think you will have any problem finding them in the parks, they are everywhere!

Thank you all for the great info! I will definitely try to catch them in Town Square at the MK (and thanks Brenna for your link...I didn't know they were also found at Epcot!). That gives me two places to find them now, and if I miss them I will have the campfire to attend as well. Glad to know you only get to meet one of them though...knowing my DD, she will need to meet both! The campfire singalong does sound like a lot of fun and something we have never tried before

We've done the campfire a few times and really enjoy it. It's fun and restful which is just what I need at times!

Chip & Dale are also at the Character dinner in the Land pavilion at EPCOT (the name of the restaurant is completely escaping me right now!). This is a pretty neat place to eat- it's family style, so you get lots of food- and the restaurant slowly turns around so the view is ever changing.
A character meal is a good way to be sure to see your favorite character and spend time saying hello to them.

We went through ALOT to get to the campfire sing along...so many bus chagnes and were wholly dissappointed when we got there. Everything seemed rather....dingy.

My boys loved this meal. It is a good idea if you really want to meet them.

It is fun but it is such a pain to get to (cant drive car in campground) that we do not do it often.

We caught Chip n Dale three times - at the Garden Grill Restaurant in the Land pavillion at Epcot. They do a character meal - Chip n Dale's Harvest Feast - and again at the Cape May Cafe breakfast at the Beach Club resort - and then at the MNNSHP in the MK.

I believe they are also part of Chef Mickey's character meal, but we didn't get there.
