First Time Disney Cruiser With Questions

Hi!

We are booked on the Disney Dream December 2011 New Years Cruise!

Our cabin is located towards the front of the ship. My DH is concerned about sea/motion sickness being that close to the front. We are in cabin 6016 - family oceanview and it's one of the big, square shaped ones (I'm THRILLED about that!).

We have only been on one other cruise - Carnival in 1999, so I'm sure the ship we were on was MUCH smaller than the Dream is going to be. Plus we didn't experience motion sickness. We were in the middle of the ship, on one of the lowest decks in the middle of the ship I think.

I'm not really worried, but my DH just wants to find out if the front and back of the ship gets more "motion" than the rest of the boat.

Thanks for any tips. It's appreciated!

We were the second room to the front on deck 8 of the Magic the first time we cruised and had no problems.

Both the Magic and Wonder have excellent stabilizers; I can't imagine that the Dream will be different in that regard. In a heavy storm, there are motion issues. During normal sailing, there is not. The front of the ship has minimally more motion than the mid portion, but it is a small difference. If you had no issues last time, you'll have a great cruise this time as well.

the magic and wonders stabilizers are said to reduce over 90% of the motion, we were towards the back of the magic and i hardly felt it. my fiance get terrible motion sickness and she just wore the "buddy bands" and was perfectly fine.

enjoy your cruise!

dramamine on board?

I image they sell motion sickness remedies on board, but is it worth getting some before you board -- just in case -- don't want to pay too much at the Disney shops on ship
