Pirate Cruises and Pirate League

I am interested in any information regarding the Pirate Cruises (I think called Albatross and Bayou Pirate Treasure Hunts?) Cost? Appropriate for 6 yr old? Available to anyone staying on WDW property or only at certain resorts? Cannot find appropriate info on the Disney website.

Also interested in doing the Pirate League makeover for my boys (ages 6 and 2). Should this be toward the end of the trip as a last hoorah or at the beginning so they can enjoy the swords, etc they are given the entire time they are at Disney? Is there somewhere I can buy replacement items in case something is lost, broken or stolen that they are given during the makeover?

Any and all info appreciated! =)

Check the site here at wdwinfo for info about the pirate cruises. Also I believe there is also info on allearsnetcustomer including reviews. Disneyworld dot com is usually the worst place for info about all things disney.
We did the pirate cruise in 2007 at the Grand Floridian. You do not have to be a guest of that hotel to take the pirate cruise since we were staying at CSR that trip. My kids DD-8 and DS-5 loved it. My Dh and I went and had a nice grown up breakfast while they were on the cruise. We are actually going to do the pirate cruise again this trip in 2 weeks.

We have not done the pirate league yet, but are also planning to do that on our trip in 2 weeks.

Hope this helps...
Kristen

I have the Pirate and pals fireworks cruise booked and am super excited as the whole family can go. My son loves Capt. Hook!

My son (5) also has pirate league booked, for day 2 out of 7, and I hate to be the bringer of bad news but I don't think your 2 year old can do this I think they have to be 3 maybe even 4. I would call them and depending on when you are going they are now offering a 50% discount to some people, like those staying on-site.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
