crowds in Sept...another balanced calendar school in Ga

I just wanted to let folks know that another county (cobb) in GA has approved a balanced calendar which includes a week off in sept. Their week will start on the 20th which is the same week of another ga county (cherokee). My dd goes to henry county and their week starts on the 13th of sept next year. A lot of GA counties have balanced calendars but I think these are the only ones that have a week off in sept. They are off in Oct. So I would assume that that week in sept will be a little more busier next year and so on. The week we are off in sept. is a like henry county family reunion.

From watching September 2009 I am guessing that last week in Sept was always busy when comparing it to the rest of the month

We went September 20-28, 2008, and it was not busy at all! (We checked in on the last check-in day for the Free Dining period.) The weather was still very hot and humid, although being from Georgia, that probably wouldn't be an issue for you.

Free dining went to Oct 3rd this year.

That was a first to go that long in the past 2-3 years
