Beach Club: How to get to Future World at opening?

We will be staying at the Beach Club for our first time. I am wondering what is the best way to get to FW so as to be able to be one of the first at Test Track or Soarin.
It seems like guests staying at Epcot resorts can enter International Gateway turnstiles at 9 AM but then it looks to be a bit of a walk to where FW attractions are.
I am wondering if they let Epcot resort guests through tunstiles before 9 AM and allow us to walk to an area much closer to FW where perhaps there is rope drop set up that is similar to the one at main Epcot entrance?

Also, at the end of the day is there one boat that can take us directly from a dock that is closest to where FW is (for example, the dock near Canada) directly to the Beach Club dock?

When we were there in June they allowed us to enter the IG early and we walked to the bridge that enters into FW. We waited for rope drop there and headed straight over to Test Track. We weren't the first ones there, but there were still plenty of people from the front that were behind us.
Have a great time at the Beach Club! We loved loved loved it.

The boats that run internally at Epcot do not leave the park to go to the resorts. You'd have to walk out of international gateway to the boat dock outside the turnstiles to catch the boat.

It is completely my opinion, but I would definitely walk back to BC rather than take the boat. The boat will drop you off at the dock (closer to YC in my opinion) so you end up backtracking to BC anyway. I think it would be faster to just walk to my room.

We love to Epcot resort area; I hope you do too!

We stayed at the Beach Club last month, and entered Epcot twice at opening time through the International Gateway.

One day (Thursday, not too busy), they did not allow us through the turnstiles until 9 am. We did not get to see rope drop, and it did take a few minutes for guests to go through security and turnstiles. By the time we arrived at Soarin' the folks that had entered through the main gate had already been there. Our wait at Soarin during our first ride was 30 minutes.

The next day was Saturday, and it was predicted to be a popular Epcot day, with many Floridians enjoying the F&W festival. That day, they let us through the turnstiles at International Gateway a little earlier. There were areas roped off, so we could not cut through except for the main paths. We were able to watch rope drop opposite from where the guests coming through the main area watch it.

It seems it depends on how much crowds they expect in determining whether to open Int. entrance early or not.

The boat service only goes as far as the international gateway entrance. From Beach Club, it does not make much sense to wait for the boat, since you can walk the extra distance in only a few minutes.

Thumbs up

I stayed at the Beach Club Villas in July, and decided to take a cab. I called the front desk the night before to set it up (they may have given me a cab phone # to call -- not quite sure) and my cab was waiting at the right time. I think it cost about $13 with tip.

I agree with the above poster - depends of time of year and cast members at entrance. We've stayed in Epcot area several times and have had several different experiences. We've been allowed through at 8:45 and stoppped at the bridge in UK, we've had to wait until 9 to even get through turnstiles. This past August we were allowed through at 8:45 and were able to go all the way to the rope drop ceremony at Innoventions and there were two ropes one on the park entrance side and one on the other for the people that came through IG. We were right up there to go to Soarin. If you are at the IG you can gently and politely ask CM if they can let you through at 8:45 or so just so you can be at rope drop. Who knows - they may do it? Good Luck!

What about those who are doing one of the Segway tours that start at 8:15am? Are we able to get through with our confirmation numbers?

yes I'd like to know the same thing. My dad and I are doing the Nature Inspired Design Segway tour in about two weeks and we are staying at the Beach Club. We have to Report to Innoventions for approximately 8am. Will they let us in the International Gateway at 7:30am? Will there be someone at the gates to let us in?

I hope it's not as inconsistent as people say. Last visit I stayed at the Boardwalk Villas and we were able to get through International Gateway for a 8:15am breakfast at Akershus. I was hoping that it would work again. I am also taking the Nature Inspired tour in Dec. Staying at Beach Club.

There will always be someone at IG to let people in for early tours and breakfasts. The inconsistency arises in the treatment of guests who wish to enter through IG for the purpose of being there for park opening time and "rope drop". When that occurs, sometimes guests are held at the IG turnstiles and sometimes (recently, more frequently in my experience) guests are let into the park and permitted to proceed to FW where the guests entering from the front of the park wait.

There will be CMs there to admit guests early for tours or the breakfast at Akershus. They have a list of names with reservations for those events.

The inconsistency is only with regard to general park opening.
