Booked last night - POFQ - Buy 4 get 3 free - The DIS Discussion Forums

We made our reservations last night for POFQ starting Jan 24. Our trip has taken so many turns. We were shooting for February but due to school make up days here we moved the trip up some (figured if we're missing 5 days anyway we might as well go when it's less crowded and cheaper).

We have looked at renting points, staying at ASMu Family Suites, and staying at Ft. Wilderness in a cabin (I was very jazzed about this option). Eventually we decided POFQ was a good fit right now. We have talked about this several times in the past and always ended up with something else, not this time!

Since we got the buy 4 get 3 free deal we decided to upgrade our tickets to a 10 day non-expiring option so we'll have some tickets left over. We're really hoping for a trip in 2011 before the baby turns 3!

Now I need to find a stroller to take down. Despite the Maclaren recall, I think a Twin Triumph is my best bet.

Anyone else planning for that week at POFQ?

We won't be there during your time but we are scheduled for our third trip to POFQ the end of April

We absolutely love this resort

We're all excited. (well the kids don't really know we're going for sure yet) We visited there on our last trip and walked around and such, ate beignets! I think we will like it, we like New Orleans.

And I heard rumor of an electrical water parade that happened there the other night. I hope they decide to do that while we are there!

My main concern is room size, we really want to stay in a 1 bedroom, but we could use that extra money elsewhere and decided we could "tough it out".

We might be staying there Jan 23-30 hoping to book this week. This will be our first stay there

Just got back last Tuesday from our fourth stay at POFQ and loved every second of it, hope you will too! Try the beignets, eat 'em while they're hot and try not to inhale the powdered sugar.

If the weather's warm enough and you have a meal or a snack from the foodcourt, try sitting at one of the little outside tables, nice and relaxing.

When we visited in November 08 we took a day and toured a couple resorts. We stopped at POFQ and walked around, ate beignets and my son got to decorate a giant cookie (which we all shared later). It was great!
