HS: Distance Between Toy Story & Tower Terror?

Do you know the approximate time it takes to get from Toy Story Mania to Tower of Terror / Rockin' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios---I am trying to do a touring plan and I feel like it involves alot of going back and forth between these areas.
thanks!

Less than 5 minutes if the crowds aren't bad. Robo... we need a map!! You'd need to double back, go through the arch (toward the big sorcerer's hat), then cut left over toward Tower of Terror.

Yes, it is a lot of going back and forward, but none of the distances at DHS are that great, especially when compared to MK. It took less than 5 minutes for mom and me (if you aren't distracted by Streetmosphere people like we were )

When the crowds are bad, though, beware - it can seem a lot longer than five minutes! We were there on a packed day last March and every little move seemed to take forever, and was very different than the pleasant stroll you might experience on more moderate days.

Good point. This was exactly our experience last March also.

The amount of time it takes to get from one attraction to another can vary a lot, depending on the thickness of the crowd (unless one is a really pokey walker, in which case it may not matter much...).

We found that we couldn't begin to do the amount of backtracking and sending runner for Fast Passes that we usually do when the park isn't wall-to-wall people.

...or the 'thickness' of some of the people in it, that tend to congregate in the narrowest bottlenecks of the paths!

no you don't....

if you veer slightly right to the hat, there is a stairs and a handicap ramp. much better line than going through the large arch that takes you in front of Ariel and Playhouse.

The ramp takes you right in front of the NArnia show, which is next to TSM.

Another variable is "pedi-freeze". This is the phenomenon of people in front of you who suddenly stop holding up all those who are on the path behind them.

You'll see this frequently at the bottom/top of escalators, at the mall, and almost anywhere at WDW

When making the trek between TSMM and ToT it can help to cut thru the Villains store, and possibly the food court area (where Catalina Eddie's is). I have done that once or twice when the crowd was especially thick and I was in a hurry.

Bigger issue

Why run back and forth? The 5 minute walk is about right depending upon the crowds, parades, shows. The rides all have long waits. The strategy for these is pretty straightforward. Get there at opening, ride TOT or R&R and fast pass the other. Get both done and then see the rest of the park. When you get to the back, get the fast pass for Toy Story and then do the other attractions in the area. Running around just gets you tired. You think you are saving time, but you are just running around. The key is to time shows and rides with your fastpass, not running to the far side of the park and back.
