Red face Artists Point

I've decided to take my DW & son to Artist Point for her 40th B'day! Does anyone have any menu suggestions or insights about AP that they would care to share?

We ate there in March and thought it was really good. I had the scallops and my DH had the pork chops. My DH LOVED them, I thought my scallops were like any other scallops that I have had, but still really good. The desserts were very good, my DDs had the paint your own cookie and they loved that. The atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet...we loved the decor of the restaurant. We would definitely go back to AP no questions asked. Oh yeah, we went during the week where we were celebrating our 10 yr. anniversary so they gave all 4 of us personalized menus to keep

Thanks! I was considering the pork chops! I think my DW will probably go for the salmon! I had not heard of the "paint your own cookie" thing. My DS is 10 and will love that! The menu's sound really cool too. Did you have to request them ahead of time?

We didn't even request them. While we were staying at WL we decided to get rid of our WCC ADR and instead go to Artist Point. When I was talking to the Concierge desk, he asked if we were celebrating anything special and I explained to him how we had already celebrated our 10 yr. anniversary a few days earlier. His response was "Well, isn't it your anniversary week?" So he put it into the system that we were celebrating our anniversary. When you go to book your ADR, just let them know it is your DW's b-day and when you get to the restaurant you can let them know again.

I went in May and had the boar tenderloin appetizer (now an entree), the scallops, and the berry cobbler. All were great, but the boar tenderloin was AMAZING. It was the best thing I ate all week on a week of DxDDP.

I had the boar also. It was delicious. It used to be on the menu as an appetizer, and then last time we were there, it was listed as an entree.

I am a Hard Core Foodie and I have been with other friends who were also Hard Core Foodies and I have nothing but good things to say about AP. I would go back there ANY day. Ask for "Carlos" as a server.

I was on the DxDDP when I went there this past Sept. I had the mussels, buffalo tenderloin, and berry cobbler. I also had a glass of ice wine with dessert. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I'd always said that the best mussels on property were at Flying Fish, but the ones at Artist Point changed my mind. They were served with a long skinny piece of toasted garlic sour dough bread. They were sooooo good.
