please confirm the following:
1. Illuminations 730 showing on 12/31 is the same as the enhanced display shown at 1150?
2. New years wishes are different than regular holiday wishes? The New Years wishes are, of course both displays on 12/31 and the late display on 12/30(but not the early display on 12/30?
3. how different are the new years displays than the regular shows?

1. Not sure, but I don't think that's correct. I think the early ones at Epcot are just Holiday Illuminations and the later ones are different. But I didn't go there last year.

2. Correct - there is Holiday Wishes and then there is Fantasy in the Sky (the 11:50 12/30 and 12/31 fireworks). Not sure which fireworks are shown during the early showing at MK on 12/31, but I think it is Holiday Wishes.

3. They are quite a bit different, IMO.

1) Very similar- we saw both displays. The last one obviously counted down to the NYE and might have had a few more fireworks, but overall, they are quite comparable.

2) Different- NYE fireworks have the count down and a huge, spectacular end to them. I was soo impressed. And it was sooo very loud, which is why I can tell you that the holiday vs. NYE are VERY different.

3) Again, different for the above reasons.

If you're trying to figure out which shows to go to during that week, here's what we did last year. My family went to numerous showings (Fantasmic) and firework displays (all Holiday versions) the week before NYE. On 12/30 we went to the MK and watched their "dress rehearsal" of their 12/31 fireworks. It was spectacular, and we loved it. Again, it wasn't the Holiday Wishes, it was definitely different with maybe a bit more fireworks in general. They obv didn't count down. On 12/31 we had dinner in Epcot and happened to catch the 7:30 Illuminations display of fireworks (the version for little ones who can't stay up till 12). Let me just say that it was AMAZING. We then had dinner, shopped/waited around and caught the 11:50pm fireworks and that was AMAZING as well. By the second show it was hard to tell the difference between all the fireworks. haha Let's just say we didn't see anymore fireworks the rest of our stay. It also puts all other fireworks to shame now.
