Wow saw Disney Christmas Carol...cheap!!

So I found a local movie theatre in the next town south of us (River Falls). It is an older theater, only shows one movie at a time, but they are first rate (or whatever they call current movies)

Took the kids tonight to see Disney Christmas Carol.
5 admissions (3 adult , 2 kids) 3 large and 2 small drinks, 3 candies, 1 medium (think brown paper lunch bag size) and 1 large (the big tub) of popcorn for a grand total of.........$23!!!!!

The admission was $3 for adults, $2 for kids (this is their everday price)
The pops were .75 for the small (16oz.) and $1.oo for the large (20 oz.)
The medium popcorn was $.75( a small was .50) ad the large tub was $1.50!!! Candy was a buck. Bottled water/pop was $1.00.

I think we will actually start going to movies again!! The theatre, while old, was clean and updated in the actual viewing area. The lobby was more vintage, with the marquee out front showing what was playing. Just mom and her young teen son working, he took the money, she ran concessions (not sure who ran the movie..lol)
And the movie was very good.!!

I hate when you've been salivating over something and then it disappoints!!

We have a place like that nearby too. Admission is very reasonable...can't remember the price of drinks and snacks. It's an older theater and only shows one movie. We're going there tomorrow to see A Christmas Carol!

Wow, great pricing! DS and I saw it yesterday at an IMAX theater in 3D. Two adult tickets = $23.00. No buying any snacks...

BTW, we really enjoyed the movie. The 3D effects were great.

Oh, I love older movie theaters like that.

Sadly, our town got rid of the one we had several years ago. I still miss it.

There is a town close by that has one, we haven't been there in awhile because they don't really advertise what's playing so we never know.

I love old drive-in movie theaters too. Especially love their concession stand, as they have those big pickles and pizza!
