FE Gifts for Boys

I am really at a loss and need some inspiration.... FE gifts for boys. I made something for the girls, and have a highlighter and glow bracelets for each cabin. But, I would really like to make something for the boys. I'm working at the 11th hour here so it can't be too complicated or require ordering anything. We leave for WDW on Thursday and cruise a week from tomorrow.

Thanks!

check out your local Target store....the dollar section has had some really cool Mickey Mouse merchandise lately. Little tin containers, notebooks with, pens, dry erase message boards. And like I said, they're MICKEY MOUSE...not some of the "kiddie" characters. OR.....I'm not sure how much you're looking at spending on each teenage boy, but they might like a $5 gift card for the game room on the ship. Good luck! And have a fun vacation!!!

Dollar store items are great, think LOOT bag type items. Some things my sons enjoyed and some things I gave for Boys FE's are: Candy, Gum, pencils (fancy pirate ones), pirate accessories, stickers, tatoos, disney note pads,
light up laser rings, glow sticks, sudoko books, pirate and disney beach balls.....

Post #276 has great ideas for boys...either the game pads or bookmark would be great.

Check out Oriental Trading.com. They may have stuff you can get for boys but not sure about the shipping cost for rush delivery.

Someone already mentioned the temporary pirate tattoos, which is one I use, but my son also just likes to get the candy if people leave some.

Jeni,

Cutting it kind of close, aren't you?

Just teasing, cause I'm in the same boat so to speak.

BTW - don't do bookmarks (hint, hint)

depending on the age, you could always get arcade cards from Quartermasters. Depending on the # of boys and their ages, it would be an easy thing to pick up when you get on board.

What if you sewed a special Mickey-fabric pirate bandana? Or a Harry Potter hat (not Disney, I know, but I made them once for my boys and they are easy and they like them!). A Mickey-fabric drawstring pouch filled with candy?

Hmmm...
Both my boys collect key chains. I saw some homemade ones on the homemade FE thread.
Lanyards can be good.
Any kind of puzzle or game would be good.
I would also suggest anything that has to do with pirates, sports or food...

If you are looking for something with a Disney character, their favs are Donald, Nemo and Stitch. Goofy and Tigger would work as well.

Something with a nautical theme would work well, too.

Although you can't make something "pretty" for the boys, I find that they like to collect things just as much as the girls.

Tattoos

Our DS 5 LOVED the tattoos! He could do them himself albeit upside down in many cases !! He had a lovely selection of "tats" on his arms for the duration of the cruise and then some! He loved the Pirate ones the best!

He also loved the glow bracelets and enjoyed making very long connecting rows of them. When he was done with them we used them to light up our stateroom at night. We hung them on the door knobs around the room. Great night lights!

It doesn't matter what you get, the guys will just be impressed that there is something in the pocket for them!

Have an awesome cruise!

How about making eye patches for them? Just cut felt i the right shape, add elastic and you are good to go!
