Has anyone been notified yet about parade taping tickets? - The DIS Discussion Forums

I was just wondering. I signed up for these as soon as the information was posted, tomorrow we will be 3 weeks away from the parade taping. I am getting a little anxious.

The email that I received stated that those chosen would be notified the 3rd week of November which will be this coming week. So I'm not looking for anything until Monday at the earliest.

We are also waiting to see if we actually get any notification/tickets.
Last year we got 'ticket's' to see the David Cook taping - but I don't remember having to wait after I sent in the request -- seems like I got the form right away --- anyway it was fun watching all of it --- when we watched it on TV Christmas Day -- the people in front of us got filmed, we kept on waiting for the camera to pan back one more row but NO luck!!!
Today I called to change our room only to the 'free dining quick service' package --- I asked if there was any info on who would be preforming & she said that she did not have any information on it at this time. You would think that the line-up would be set by now. Looking forward to our trip --- I'm going to 'steal' one of the Toy Soldiers from the MVMCP parade -- (don't tell anyone!!) I just LOVE those guys!!!!

Hope that we all get info soon!!!

My dd and I are going on the 5th. I didn't know you had to have tickets for the taping. How do you get these? Do they close MK that day to non parade taping ticket people? We thought we'd just go and hang out and maybe see a few performances.

I got an email from Disney a couple of weeks ago after I inquired about when we would be notified. The response said "mid-November" but I have seen the third week of November as the time frame. I am on the lookout this week. Hoping to hear something good! I really want to be part of the taping. It would be so much fun on Christmas morning to try and see if we got on camera.

No, the park isn't closed. But, those preselected to be part of the 'audience', for both the Castle act tapings and the parade taping, are notified before the event. There was a signup area, which is now closed..they have all that they need. Then, the day of the tapings, these people will bring their confirmation emails (at least this is how it worked when I did it) to the MK with them. they will be taken to the area they have been assigned to. That area is usually roped off.
As the day goes on though, the selected audience members tend to get tired and drift off..that's what I did after more than 3 hrs. standing in one place. Then, regular park guests take their place in the audience, usually further back since those who were preselected tend to move forward as others leave.

Been there, done that..no way am I going to head to MK on that Sat. Way too congested for me.

This is the third week of November and those that registered for the parade taping should be hearing from Disney. My family was lucky enough to register before it was closed. Just wanting to know if anyone has received an email yet?

When I registered I was told that IF i were selected I would receive an email with further instructions, so YES!

haven't heard anything either, yes they do send notifications thru e-mail, last year you could print out the ticket and then take them to MK for entry, we had to be there by 6am, they let people into "places" at 7am, they started shooting around 8am, it finished around 4pm...it's a very looooong process but my kids loved it.
