Food Suggestions for Late Night Arrivals

Wasn't sure where to post this question but thought I'd try here!

Does anyone know how late the fast-food places at the airport are open? We are arriving at MCO at 11:14, after departing from home at 4:15. I don't think we'll have enough time to eat during our layover in Minn/St Paul, and know we'll be starving for dinner! I plan on packing lots of snacks and possibly peanut butter sandwiches, but I think we'll probably want some real food when we land. We're using ME and I don't think we'll make it to the Pop food court before it closes at midnight. The only thought I had was grabbing something at the airport before getting on the ME bus. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Oh wow, that IS late. I THINK all the airport places are closed at 11. I wonder if your driver would mind a quick stop off? Surely your not the first people to fly in late and HUNGRY! Good luck!

If you can't stop off, I think your only option may be to order pizza from Domino's _ I believe they are open until 1AM (but that may only be on weekends.) Wouldn't be my first choice of food, but I think your options will be extremely limited if you don't arrive at your room until midnight or later.

Soulmates, you're kidding, right?
I would never dream of a ME bus stopping at a fast food spot for a passenger to eat. They would probably get fired for doing that.

Pick up something at MSP when you change planes, eat on your connecting flight. Have a few snack items packed for when you get to the resort.

I would suggest McCoy's in the Hyatt Regency in the Airport Terminal. They serve their regular menu unto 11:00 and a "Late Night Menu" to 12:30. http://orlandoairport.hyatt.com/hyat...index.jsp#1899 If you are coming in at Gate #60 or higher you can get there by making a U-Turn up the escalators as soon as you get outside Security; the lobby is one floor up andd make a right from the top of the escalators.

Magic Express runs all night so you can eat at McCoy's and then take the bus to WDW.

How long is your MSP connection?

MSP has a monstorous food court with lots of options that you could certainly run through for quick grab and go dinner. Also since you aren't leaving till 4pm, have a big lunch at home before you leave and snack type items should tide you over till morning. Rather than packing candy bars and junk, pack filling high protein and healthy snacks.

String cheese
almonds
apple slices
grapes
animal crackers
canned chicken on crackers (bring pull top cans)
raisins
fruit rollups
individual peanut butter cups (sold by the regular PB) and celery sticks
Pretzels
hard boiled eggs

Also not sure if your family will eat cold Chef Boyardee items, but I have been known to pack these in my checked luggage and just pop the top on the individual servings and eat them room temp. Others may find them yucky cold, but I find they are just fine. You may also be able to access the Pop Food Court to microwave them, but having never stayed at Pop I wouldn't know for sure.

Frankly the thought of eating at midnight on arrival just doesn't sound good. Late lunch, plus healthy substantial snacks plus planning a big morning breakfast should tide most people over.

We never leave home without a subway sandwich - they pack it to go and it is fine to eat later - we usually get an EofS for the way home. It makes travel less stressful!

Thanks, we will definitely have to check that out. Our layover in MSP is 50 minutes, assuming our connecting flight is on time. We're might have time to grab something there, but just don't want to count on it.

We'll be packing plenty of snacks, and the Subway idea is a good idea too! Thanks for the responses everyone!
