Question May be a Silly & Simple Question....

I can't remember... I'm wanting to take some flavored drink packets for water on board and with everything I've been reading lately I'm a little confused about how you can or cannot pack any food related items. Do I put it in my carryon or my checked luggage for boarding the ship? Or does it even matter? Hubby would be sad if they were confiscated! Does the same apply for something like gum, hard candy, etc. TIA!

I didn't even think about it but last week on the 4 day we took I had gum, candy and a few flavored drink packets in the bag I carried on with me and was not questioned.

In 5 cruises with DCL, they've never had a problem with drink mixes or snacks in our carry-ons.

For drink mix packets and gum, I don't think it matters. They certainly can be carried on (as I have on many occasions). As far as the checked luggage, any food product that won't spill or attract pests would be okay. DCL is concerned about drinks and food that may spill and ruin other people luggage.

Sealed foods should be no problem coming with you when you board.

I ALWAYS carry on 2 cases of beer in a carryon suitcase, never a problem our last 5 sailings, and when I "empty it" it is great from bringing back those breakable souvineers DW and DDs seem to find...
