SO excited! Going to Disneyland for 1st time

We are going to drive from St.Louis to Tucson (visit friends) for spring break in 2010......This same week happens to be DD 16th bday and DS 9th bday, so we are going to CA for 3 days during the vaca week-they have choosen Laguana Beach for DD's 16th (actual Bday day), next day at Disney, then DS 9th (actual Bday day) at Lego land. It will be a crazy 3 days, but since DH will never fly we need to pack it in! Advice for any days welcome, especially for DL day-thinking we will not do a hopper and spend all day in DL........but is it doable to do both with a hopper ticket in one day? We have been to DW a lot and really want to hit the rides we from there, but want time to get all the DL differences too! DS is the youngest, so no little ones to cart around!

Spring break is a busy time (I'll be there for spring break next year too), but it's definitely do-able. I probably would just focus on DL, but that's just because the lines will be a bit longer because of spring. It is very, very easy to park-hop though, so if you were really curious about DCA, it's just across the way.

Where are you staying? They have the new, reduced park-hoppers for the beginning of 2010, so depending on how close you stay to the park, it might be worth spending a little more on the park-hoppers so you can go to the parks for a few hours on the day you also go to Laguna, maybe go to the park a few hours at night on the day you do Legoland, etc.
