Wedding Planner Assigned - Today - The DIS Discussion Forums

I sent in my deposit and paperwork on November 2nd, when can I expect to get assigned to my Wedding Planner? I am getting a little nervous because I would like to book a group dinner, and wanted to talk to my planner before I did it. Because I am planning my wedding quickly, I am worried that I won't be able to get a ADR for any of the restaurants. I thought I read somewhere it takes about two weeks to hear from a planner, but I wanted to verify.

It took me 3 or 4 weeks until I heard from my planner for the first time, so if you don't hear within the 2-week time frame, I would just call your coordinator and ask.

Where were you going to do a group dinner? I ended up going with Big River Grille, and I booked directly with them and we're creating a special menu through the restaurant itself.

I will look into the Big River Grille, I don't know where I want to eat yet. It looks like we will have 15-20 people (including DF and I) Our wedding will be at 2:30 at SBP and I really want to do an EPCOT Dessert Party that night, so I would like to stay close to EPCOT to save our guests from running all around.

I would love to know more about your menu, I will check out your PJ :-)

DF and I are deciding on the menu tomorrow during a long car ride, but I will be sure to post everything on my PJ as soon as we get back!

We have 19 people including me and DF. BRG is right on the Boardwalk, so it's within walking distance of Epcot! I've never eaten there, but I've heard it's pretty good. I will definitely put up all the details as soon as we figure them out!

You can go ahead and book your group dinner as long as you don't want a catered event. The group dining number listed is 407-939-5665. I would check out the restaurants along the Boardwalk and maybe Yachtsman Steakhouse on the Disney site. HTH!

I just got an email saying my Planner has been assigned, her name is Kathleen Reynolds. I can't wait to get home and start reading the documentaion she sent and then give her a call and get the ball rolling with other plans!
