Rose & Crown ?

Hi!
Considering R&C for our trip next year. Is the fish fairly kid-friendly, or does it taste *really* different? We'll be going with dd10, ds8 & dd1, and the older kids are not very adventurous.
Thanks!

We were just there last week and 3 people had the fish and chips and said it was good. They did not mention it to be too fishy. I know this is not part of the question, but I really enjoyed the mixed green salad, pork and sticky pudding!

I agree. The fish is not too "fishy". Your children might see it as a big, flakey fish stick. Enjoy.

Keep in mind, it's a working pub. VERY crowded, lots of folks drinking. We went this past Aug for drinks, VERY crowded. I didn't see lots of young children.

I think you experienced the Pub section. There is an additional area of the restaurant, most of it is away from the Pub area. It is much quieter and lots of children are in the restaurant section.

Ahhhh, your right. That was all we saw. We saw the outside section, but didn't see any inside dining. Good to know, thanks!

Food was great so was our server. She held our table while we went outside to enjoy Illuminations. We had great fish and chips and every restaurant has a kids menu.

This was one of our favorites during our Oct. trip. We liked it so much it was on the top of our list when we go back in May. If you like mushrooms the Vegetarian Shepard's Pie is delicious. Our 2 year old inhaled the "chips", but if I remember correctly the kids menu wasn't bad at all. I would highly recommend trying there!

We took our kids to the Rose & Crown last April. They are 6, 5 and 2. They ate off of the kid's menu and had either pizza or chicken. My DH and I enjoyed some of the more yummy offerings of the Rose & Crown. We ate outside and had a great view of the World Showcase. The kids loved it since the ducks came right up to our table.

My DS (8) liked the fish. I'm not as crazy about it, but I do like to eat at R&C. It isn't a must do for us, but nice place. I think if kids like fish, they will like it there too.

The restaurant is much more "chill" than the pub, although the Hat Lady is divine! We love R & C. It is almost a "must do" on our visits.
