need hotel rooms in dec!

Hey,
I tried all night and half the day to get a couple of rooms at a Disney Resort hotel. They are all booked!
Has anyone stayed at an offsite hotel near Disney,or Downtown Disney, that they have been really happy with.
I am a total freak about a clean hotel room. We travel with our camper most of the time because I just want my own sheets!

I'm just looking for something clean and not run down.
THANKS!!

What do you think of the Radisson Hotel or the Hilton??
Has anyone stayed at either of these recently?

Wherever you stay do not stay at the Best Western, ick. the Doubletree suites were nice when we stayed there. I don't know about the ones you mentioned.

You'll get more answers over on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board, that's where folks discuss the offsite hotels. I'll move this over there for you.

Try the Waldorf if you want to be absolutely sure. Other than that it's all relative to a total freak. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in during my 30+ years of visiting Orlando was in Downtown Disney so you never know. I can tell you that most 3 star and above hotels do a decent job but if you read tripadvisor reviews on just about any hotel you can find horror stories. You might also want to consider bringing your own sheets, although the *****puted champion of dirty hotel items that will come into contact with your body (and no hotel is exempt from this, not even the ones at WDW) is the blanket.

Have you tried Expedia or Lastminutetravel.com? They had rooms available at WDW resorts when people were posting on the boards that there were none available. Give them a shot. Good luck.
