those of you with trampolines

with nets - have you had any problems with the nets lasting? Ours blew off with our 1st big thunderstorm (wind) the winter we got it (2 Christmases ago). Now the padding has dry rotted as well. The trampoline itself is just fine - no show of falling apart.

BUT I checked the prices of new padding & its outrageous - didn't even check about netting...

SOOO it looks to be way cheaper to buy another trampoline this year - I know WM will have one during their black Fri ad - of course it won't be a nice one & I'll probably have to buy the net seperatley - but I really want the kiddos to have a safe place to jump.

Do you have any tips to keep this from happening next time? Or is it just a given that trampolines are only gonna last a couple of years outside in the elements? (in the south)

In the fall and winter, do you dismantle it and put it up? DD11 has had hers for 5 years now, it was her friends but he had to move and it was only 6 months old at the time. it is llike 13 ft with full net around it.

Have you gone online and looked at replacement padding and nets? YOu have to shop around. I have seen replacment padding for 100-150 and netting for about 100.00.
