Algae, us and the Bash on the Boat - Day 5

I was awake at 5.30am and decides to deliver some tag gifts. Two lots need to be delivered as she missed yesterdays delivery, but she decides in the end just to deliver the lot in one go. Then it’s time for a cup of tea and a stroll round deck 10. It is so windy though that she decided not too walk too far. I could also do with my IPOD, but I had left it in the cabin. You know I can never believe how many more people are awake this early and even meets a fellow BOB’er up on deck. The sun is just starting to rise and the colours are beautiful, but she has also forgotten her camera.

Back in the cabin I sit and type up yesterday’s blog….there was so much to type that Rick eventually wakes and makes his way into the bathroom to get ready for the day. Last night an additional gift was delivered to our cabin – as Gold Castaway Members they receive a further gift from DCL. A travel document wallet, luggage strap and some lovely truffles. They are also informed that for every purchase in the shops of $100 (in one transaction) they will receive $25 off. I have already seen a couple of scrapook albums that I would like and there are a couple of charms that have also caught my eye. So this is a result.

Breakfast takes the usual form – Topsiders buffet. We meet up with Chris and Hazel and chat about the previous days events on board and plans for the day. After attending one of the seminars about DVC, they head on back to their cabin to collect books, sunscreen, camera, etc and make their way up to deck 9. We sit and chat with various BOB’ers throughout the morning and afternoon, attending an informal adult meet by the adult pool.



After watching group of BOB’ers win one of the adult pool games, we are back in the cabin just to drop off their bags and to put out their clothes for formal night tonight. We have an appointment at the future cruise desk and make a booking for a cruise in the future – date to be decided. Then it’s time for TV Tune Trivia. Walt & Di and Rose & June join us and make up a team, but we are unsuccesful. The winning team – Angie and her family (BOB’ers) win with a score of 37/38.

We rush back to the cabin as we have only 40 minutes to get ready . No time for formal pictures and as there are no different backgrounds, we walk straight into the dining room – Lumieres and join the rest of the group for dinner. After another excellent meal with good food and good company, and I wants to be comfortable in the theatre when they are watching Golden Mickeys, we change out of their formal clothes.



After the show we join a small group of BOB’ers in Diversions and wait for the Adult show, which is to start at 10.30pm in the main theatre. It is the Alfred and Seymour act that they saw last night. We haven’t laughed so much in a long time. It made a refreshing change from the usual acts on Disney – and an adult show with no bad language or bad taste comedy. Once back in the cabin, we chat about the days events for the blog and then it’s lights out on another extremely long day. Night all.
