DD's funny memory

We leave for our second trip in 16 days so we've been talking about Disney a lot lately. Our first trip was in Feb. '08, just after our oldest DD turned 5. We look at the photos from that trip all the time, but I wasn't sure how much of the trip she really remembers. Oh, she remembers that ToT is SCARY, that her uncle bought her ice cream before lunch, and that she held hands with Sleeping Beauty, but those were all "big deals" at the time. I didn't think she remembered many little details.

The other day, out of the blue, she looked at me and said in a very serious voice, "Mom, I hope they fixed the bridge." What bridge, I asked. "The one at Disney World when we were looking at all the animals. Remember? It was broken last time, and we almost fell in the river!" She was talking about Kilimanjaro Safari, of course, but I was amazed that she remembered that part. I had no idea it made such an impression on her, but apparently she was scared at the time.

Now, should I be good mommy and explain that it's part of the ride and the bridge is supposed to do that? Or should I be evil mommy and tell her of course Disney would have fixed it by now, so I can watch her reaction when it happens again?
