Tag Learning System: Coupon and Questions

First of all, a $10 off retail coupon for the Leapfrog Tag Learning System at leapfrog.com. And Amazon has most of the books for just under $10. At our local retail store they are $14.

Any thoughts on this system? Best books with most activities? Is the parent connect easy to use?

Looking for my soon to be 6 year as a birthday / Christmas gift.

I just picked up Tag at Target cause they also have a $10 Off coupon and you can use both. It is on Sale for 39.99. It was a sweet deal. I would also like more info on the books and how well the system works. TIA

Where can you find the $10.00 off coupon at Leapfrog.com? I went to the website and couldn't find it.

my 5 y.o. daughter really enjoys the Disney(of course) themed books, scooby doo and dora. I won't say it has changed her life or propelled her to reading above her level. I bought it as a toy and she plain ENJOYS it - just looking through the books and seeing what all the pages offer is fun

That is from another post here on the boards..HTH! Many of us were actually able to use it with the $10 Target coupon on the Tag Jr. which was on sale for $28.99, making the Jr. $8.99!!

Definitely the best deal around on the TAG right now is at Target, combining the $39.99 shelf price with the $10 Target toy coupon and $10 Leapfrog coupon, making it $19.99 for the one that holds 10 books (and comes with The Cat in the Hat). As far as the books, there is a $3 printable coupon for the books, and they are in the Toys R Us toy book for $9.99, so $6.99 after coupon. In addition, Amazon right now has a code you can use for $5 off on Tag books (LPASW500), but you can only use it on one book-so you can get one book on there for $4.97 (only a good deal if you have Prime or enough stuff to get free shipping). Just Google Leapfrog Tag coupons, and several will come up.

So far in the last two weeks, I have bought the Tag, Tag Jr., 2 Tag books, and 2 Tag Jr. books, all for around $45 using coupons.

Stopped by Target today and had no problem using the $10 off Target coupon with the $10 off Leap Frog coupon so pink Tag system $19.99. Swung by TRU and used 2 of the $5 off Tag books coupons from Wendy's kids meals (2 different transactions) and got each book for $4.99. So for $30 I got the system and 3 books (1 included with system)!

We bought this at the Kmart clearance sale for our 2.5 year old dd, and she enjoys it. The books we purchased were all super cheap at Kmart or Target during the July/August clearance sales. She has figured out how to touch the pen to the books to have them read to her, and is also happy sitting in our laps while we read the books out loud and then do the interactive part using the pen while she watches/listens. I think they're great for car trips for younger kids, because she sometimes wants to be read to while she's back there, which I obviously can't do while I'm driving.
