Can my DD(14) wear Santa dress at MVMCP

My daughter (14) has a red santa dress with white fur trim around the skirt hem and bust, she would like to wear it to the MVMCP when we go on 15th Dec, she plans to wear it with black ugg boots and thick red tights, she will probably also wear a big black hoody later into the evening so only the skirt will show then. So my question is will she be allowed to wear this dress? thanks

I don't know the answer, but why would she not be able to wear it?

My best "guess" is yes, especially since it is during MVMCP,but it is only a guess.

Disney doesn't allow Guests to dress as Santa Claus because they have their "own" Santa Claus and,by the same token,Santa has female assistants dressed in "Santa Dresses".

Sure she will look really cute in the dress. I believe Disney does not want persons to look like Santa or any character. My 13 year old wore a Cinderella dress to the Park Fare but she was not so professionally done to be confused with Cinderella so no problem.

I know for a fact that children can wear costumes (BBB). Adults generally can't wear costumes (I think MNSSHP is an exception) (I heard the reason for this is safety: it might make it easier for stalkers to lure children away).

Now, for this purpose, what age they define as "adult" I have no idea.

I know people that tried to dress up. They wanted to make photo's in there wedding clothes in front of the castle.
They sneaked in there clothes and changed in the toilets.

Her dress was long and blue and she looked like a Disney Princess.
Boy until today they regret that "act". As soon as they came out of the toilet building people started to harass them.
They wanted autographs, pictures and special treatment for there children.

Of course they had no intention of doing such things, just sneak in take a few pictures and disappear.
The situation really got ugly and the crowd of angry people demanding things grew very fast.

They had to be escorted out of the park with security for there own safety.

Think twice before you dress up and especial if your 14 year old daughter looks a few years older.

You learn something new on these boards everyday. I would of never gave it a second thought. I would of just put my kids in it and gone to the park. What you are describing is a fancy dress. I still don't think there will be a problem. Who would you even contact to get the correct answer? If you write Disney, I am sure you will just receive a form letter response about dress codes, and if you call, you could get 10 different answer's form 10 different CM's.

Your daughter will definitely be allowed to wear her dress. There's no way anyone will confuse a 14yo girl with Santa Clause.

Have a great time!

No,but she could be confused with the "assistants" Disney provides for Santa in the Parks and Guests might expect her to take them to see Santa immediately!LOL

I think she would be OK,but with Disney's costume policy,it is hard to say definitively.

When I called to make ressies for BBB, I was told no one over age 10 can wear a "costume" in the parks. You might want to bring it along and ask at City Hall when you get there. It might help if you took a picture of her wearing it to show them so they know exactly what you're asking about.
