Where do you hide your Christmas/Haunakah presents?

If I misspelled Haunakah please let me know and I'll correct.

Now on to the question. I usually hide all my Christmas presents at my DM house in her barn cause the kids never go there, but this year they are renovating their house and the storage room is full so I'm having to get creative (we don't have ready access to our attic as we have to move furniture to get up there). So far I've put stuff in the laundry chute, DH's locking tool box, my drawers and I'm thinking of utilizing the luggage. This got me thinking where do people who don't have relatives nearby hide their gifts?

So please let us know. I've posted a poll, but please feel free to comment, especially if I missed your favorite hiding spot.

ETA - Whoops I forgot to include the attic.

I've been hiding them the same way for 19 years and dd hasn't figured it out yet, thank goodness, because that kid is a snooper. In the fall, I sort through a bunch of her clothes and mine and put them all in garbage bags to go to Goodwill. Of course, I don't take them to Goodwill until after Christmas because amongst those trash bags in the basement, I hide another garbage bag with all of dd's gifts.

She oh so casually asked me last year, "So where DID you hide the Christmas gifts when I was a kid?" Like I'd tell her.

Used to be the basement when it wasn't finished, no one went down there and they blended in with all the rest of the junk.

Now I hide everything in our bedroom closet. This is off limits to our kids and they never go in there anyway. It does have a lock on it but we never use it.

I hide everythign in our luggage. However, this year we are going to WDW in December so we will need to use the luggage. So I have taken everything to my Mom's house. Once I get it wrapped I will probably bring it home and store it in the Christmas decoration boxes/containers as they will be empty at that point.

Stuff I buy stays locked in my car trunk, stuff that gets delivered goes into the closet. I voted for both.

We don't have to hide them anymore, thank goodness. They get wrapped and put under the tree as they accumulate.

I hid them in the luggage. Now that DD's are older, and actually one of them out of the house I just place them under the tree after they are wrapped.

I don't necessarily have to hide them anymore (kids are old enough 12 & 14...they obviously don't believe anymore) But I still like to hide the gifts and place them under the tree Christmas Eve. I always liked waking up Christmas morning when I was a kid and be surprised to see what the tree looked like once santa came. Even after my brother, sister and I were older, my mom still waited to put the gifts out and I've always liked that.

But to answer your question.... I've also hid them in the luggage, closets, dresser drawers, in a hope chest in the basement. But MIL has just made an inlaw apartment attached to our house, so I think we'll shove the stuff down in her basement.

I hide mine in luggage (smaller gifts) and in the trunk of my car (large gifts...this year, there's a big ol' set of kitchenware for my Mom hidden in there )

Last year I hid presents in the supply closet at work. This year I'm no longer working, but I have a locker at school. My kids would have to get a badge to get into the clinic where my locker is, and then open a combination lock. Their gifts will stay secret this year for sure!

I have a big chest freezer in the basement that I don't use and that is where I put the christmas gifts. If its something relaly big it goes to the neighbors house and they hold it over there for me...and I hold their gifts over here for them!
