The carriage pick up/drop off is right out front.

When you walk out of WCC (Whispering Canyon Cafe) you will walk down a few steps into the resort lobby. Turn left & walk out the front doors. The carriage will be right there. (At least this is where pick up/drop off was when we took the sleigh ride on 12/23/07). You can't miss it!

Here is a picture of the sleigh at the WL. We hear the ride at Ft. Wilderness is more scenic however with the campground lots highly decorated.

This is correct except I am sure Daisyduck meant for you to turn right out of WCC and out the front doors. Darn fingers have a mind of their own on these keyboards See picture in above post for the Sleigh at WL.

The sleigh ride looks like a lot of fun. How do I make a ressie?

I am so glad someone brought up the sleigh ride, I have a question. I have a ride booked for 12/25 and I remember seeing a discussion on the boards a while back about sleigh ride versus carriage ride, something about the sleigh ride just going through the woods while the carriage goes through the FW area where you could see how all the RVs are decorated. Is that true, and which is better? I have been through the woods at FW before, that sounds a little dull, and seeing the RV decorations would be fun for my kids. What is the real story about where the sleigh ride goes?

We took the WL sleigh ride on 12-23-07. It is rather boring & for the higher price (it was only $35.00 when we took it) I would not recommend it. I've seen all the holiday lights at the campground & I think a ride over there would be much more interesting for kids.

In the past there was a sleigh ride at the Wildnerness Lodge and carriage ride at Fort Wildnerness. This year THE SLEIGH RIDE IS ONLY AT FORT WILDERNESS, NOTHING LEAVES FROM THE WILDERNESS LODGE. Just wanted to avoid any confusion.

Just take the boat from WL to the Campground. You should have plenty of time with a 4:55 reservation at WCC to get there
