Just what does a "celebration" consist of?

I was just wondering. For our Cape May breakfast I added a personal triumph celebration note to the reservations. My sister in law is celebrating 21 years post kidney transplant. I was wondering what is done. Do they simply announce this and congratulate her? Really just curious I am not expecting anything extravagant.

it is different at every place with every server.
For most things you can get either nothing (not usually the case) to more lik ea nice dessert with some sort of writing on the plate- maybe some sort of pin or little giveaway.
I know on our honeymoon it was a range of things- but every place is different.
If you always go expecting nothing- then when you get something special it's just nice
And what a cool celebration btw!

Some places spread confetti and streamers across the table, some places give you a card (depending on what you are celebrating) or some sort of dessert - a celebratory cupcake or small cake type dessert. It just depends.
