Question Signed Drawing by a Disney Artist at DHS??

My DD11 really wanted to get on at DCA in CA last month and I was wondering if anybody knows if that is something that is offered at WDW I'm thinking DHS because they have the Artist/Drawing on site perhaps??? Also if anyone knows how much it will be they were $35 in DL for example. Thank you so much for any help as we leave in 2 weeks and this is what she wants to spend her money on this trip. Also, will she be able to make a special request for a character or will it be whatever they have???

Hello Michelle,

Every year I go with the fam, I get one of the hand drawn charaters by an artist. Usually they are predrawn by an and I just pick pick one from the pile.

This year, the did not have a predrawn one that I liked, so I flipped through the sketch book for the one I wanted and had the on site artist for that day complete one for me.

I chose Mickey painting the castle.

The next day, when I went to pick it up, I got to meet the artist. It was pretty cool.

This was at Magic Kingdom in the art store on Main Street USA. I paid $35.00 for the sketch and $30.00 for the frame.

I hope this helps.

I beleive an artist is there Monday through Friday for a certain period of time. Not exactly sure of the time though. When I picked up my sketch, it was around 4:30ish and he was still there.

There is normally an artist in the Art of Disney store at EPCOT. It is near the entrance, across from Spaceship Earth. It will be on the right side as you walk in, just past the camera store. We have watched them draw on numerous trips. We ALWAYS make a stop at the art stores. One of our must dos is to take at least 1 photo of a piece of art or a figurine that we could only dream of owning.

We go to the Art of Disney at Epcot too. We met a great artist last time and got some really beautiful prints signed by him too.

We also get our drawings at Epcot. I've never been there when an artist was not there. Maybe I just have good timing, but we've always seen someone there.

We've gotten pictures at the Art of Disney at Epcot and met the artist every time. The last time we got one, we had him draw a picture of Chip and Dale for my son for Christmas. He even put my son's name on the picture to him and signed it, of course. My other son had a picture done of Stitch a year or two before that he bought with his money. I believe you have to either choose one they have or pick one out of the book for them to draw. We enjoyed meeting the artists. It made it more personable. My youngest son wants another picture this year, I believe. If memory serves me well (it doesn't always), I think with the Disney frame added which is really nice, it may be $70. Well worth it.
