We're BOOKED! Woohoo DLR at Christmas time!!!

I'm so excited!!! DH has promised me all year we could go during Christmas. Things were looking dim when my bff announced her wedding date of Jan 1 (in montana, burrrr!!!), thus taking up my entire week beforehand and loosing hope of going the week after Christmas, or for new years.

But after a few days of talking...and a few days of priceline...we're booked at the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort (about a mile from Disney). Here we come DISNEY @ CHRISTMAS!!

Free parking+free internet=amazing!

Plus, if you haven't checked out priceline in awhile, they re-zoned their "name your own price" zone for Disneyland to have two separate areas. PM me if you want more info on bidding for these hotels!!

I really like that hotel. I have got it about 4 times now through priceline for $39 a night! It is really a good hotel. A fridge in room. Microwave in giftshop that you can use when ever you need. And the bar has a really good happy hour.

Now if I could only talk DBF into paying a hundred dollars more a night to stay onsite. a girl can dream.

We're going the second weekend in December - Dec. 11-13th. Just a short weekend because we've already used up all our vacation time

Excited to hear that others have stayed there too. I like the Holiday Inn brand, so I'm glad we got it. Really glad we didn't get the Marriott Suites again --- we decided the Marriott name is the only good thing about it!! Holiday Inn was $40/night!

Oh I am excited for you!! I have a dream that someday I will take my kid/s to Disneyland for Christmas, and Santa will come there instead! I am already planning it out, lol.

I won't be having kids for another 5-6 years, lol!

Yippey!

Our trips will overlap a little bit. We will be there from the 12-19. So, if you see a lady with two teens, a baby, stroller loaded down like a pack mule and hubby wearing a backpack with lime green mickey head adornments....that will be me.

I am so happy you are getting your trip!

Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort

Do they have a shuttle to the parks or is it an easy walk?

Looking at going in December as well (the ticker is from last year...can't get the thing off! LOL)

Thanks!

Now how on earth did you do that? I know about priceline but not sure of the details. We are staying at a HOJO far away for $43 cause we decided it's all we can afford if we want to do a few more trips this year. We would love to stay at a nicer hotel at a better price!!

I'm right there with you! I CANNOT wait to surprise my kids with a trip. I've only been married for about a year and a half, not having kids for another 5, and not planning on taking them to disney til they can enjoy it...so I gotta good 7 years beforehand...but I've got it all planned too. Yes...I'm certifiably addicted to Disney!!

Love the description! I got my LGMH on my backpack too. I use it for other things and forget to take them off and then I get questioned about them --- and then I shyly tell people of the small obsession I have with Disney

Thanks!
The ART shuttle runs by there. Its $10 for a 3 day pass for adults, less for kids 3-9, and free for kids under 3. The hotel, itself, doesn't have its own shuttle. And although it is a mile or so from the park, it would be waaay to long of a walk for me. Gotta save my energy for the parks!

We'll probably drive and use that stupid mickey and friends tram (can you tell how i feel about it?) - unless the parking garage is a mess, in which case...ART, here we come!

On priceline, they have "name your own price" where you bid a price on a hotel and then find out the name of the hotel/location after you "win" the hotel. There are a few strategies to do this, and I recommend divulging some time into checking out www.betterbidding.com to learn all the ways you can save money on your bid and get the best hotel that will work for your family! Hope this helps!

Oh man...I want that rate for our stay this month.....we went with a Motel 6 about 6 miles away for $43 a night.....your hotel will be much nicer!!!

On another note, we will be there in Dec at the same time you will!! Watch for us too, I'm actually going to post a mini meet thread as time gets closer.

Yes I will have to look into that!! Thanks so much!

Haha, don't worry btw, I have a "small" addiction to Disneyland also. Good thing DBF shares my addiction!
