concered about our booked reservations at Kidani vs Jambo House

We are currently reserved for a 1 bedroom Kidani savanah view. One of the reasons we choose Kidani is because we have 5 people and it gives up the extra bathroom. Although the pool is smaller, we think our kids will love the big slide. But I have been increasingly hearing that Jambo house would have been a better choose. We requested 2nd floor near the lobby. I hope we made the right decistion on this one...

This is a posting of one of many on Debs Unofficial forums I just read with many like it....We stayed in the new area of Kidani Village. our room (7863) the outside savannah, so it was a small savannah. Definitely not worth the same points charged as the rooms on the opposite side with the larger savannah. The 2nd bathroom was wonderful. The room was spacious, although the bathroom was larger than necessary. The lighting in the rooms was too dark, so it was difficult for applying makeup and shaving. Depending where your room was the walk from the elevator to room was a good distance. No food court for a quick bite. Didn't use their restaurants (food not to our liking). The pool area was great, especially for the kids. The feeling of being secluded from the rest of Disney was nice, in a good way. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and the staff was great. Iwe do stay again, we would save our points and not get a savannah view.

I was just there and Kidani is a great choice. Good idea requesting 2 nd floor near lobby. We were on the 2nd floor way away from the lobby and it was a long walk. The pool area is great for kids, wasn't crowded but not sure what time of year you are planning to go. Just know there is no quick service dining and the food at Sanaa, while no doubt good may not be what you want to eat with kids.

You'll have a great time at Kidani.

I stayed there in June and loved it. If you want to be on the "main" savannah, request Sunset Savannah.

Kidani's pool area is AWESOME. It has its own Savannah view and is just gorgeous. You will not be disappointed. You will love your choice. . .trust me. I love Animal Kingdom and both resorts. . .

We just returned from a 10 day stay at Kidani and we couldn't be more pleased with our "home away from home" (Except for the lack of a counter service). Our conclusion regarding the smaller savanna was that it most certainly gave you closer views of the animals from all areas.

We did speak to the DVC rep. and asked him what complaint he had to here the most, his reply was the lack of a counter service without a doubt! He followed his answer by informing us that their were "heavy rumors that one is being considered for a space next to Sanaa".
