I Just recieved my room assignment. Should I be disappointed?
It's on deck two, category 10, room 2545.
Will I get sickside being so low down and how is the noise factor?

You can get seasick in any cabin location - IF you are prone to that and the seas are rough. You paid for a cat. 12 and got a cat. 10, so I wouldn't be disappointed! It's definitely a better cabin than a cat. 12.

There are different theories on what's better for seasickness. My thought is low and center is best, and you can't beat that room for that. And if you booked a Cat 12, you got a free upgrade to the split bath!

The only room review for that room is very good. Not sure why you'd be disappointed.

We booked a 12 and were assigned a Cat 10 on Deck 1. While I would prefer to be higher (mainly because you can't get to the aft elevators from Deck 1) I got the split bath that I really wanted and didn't have to pay for it!

We LOVE Deck 2. As others have said, a low, center location is usually best for seasickness. We cruise with a friend who has terrible issues with it and she always does just fine on Deck 2.

I wouldn't be disappointed at all!

If you've got to ask whether you should be disappointed, choose not to!

Deck 2 is great. We always choose to stay down there. You never have trouble getting an elevator up, it's a quick trip to everything on 3 and 4, and you're close to deck 1 for port calls.

I'm prone to motion sickness as well and do best the lower I get. There's less movement lower on the boat.

Incase you have not cruise before……

In most small boats the bouncing is at the bow. If this is your frame of reference you may be misunderstanding how a plaining vessels (small pleasure boat) is different from a displacement vessel like a ship.

The bottom center of the kiel, the very bottom of the ship is like the fulcrum of a teder-toder.

The ship does not bounce or rock from front to back in all but the worse conditions. The ship will rock side to side. Modern stabilizers reduce this motion.

So, let’s get back to that teder toder The closer you are to the fulcrum the less the motion.

So the lower you are on the ship the less the motion.

As a person who spends much more than a month a year on water I love that motion however if your goal is to avoid the rocking you should try to get as low in the ship as possible.

Why would you be disappointed? You paid for a cat 12 and got a cat 10 in a good location. Are you are disappointed that you didn't get a cat 9? In that case, you should have booked a 9.

It's tough to know that some people got a window and you didn't....but you still got more than you paid for. Enjoy the bit of pixie dust that came your way.

One of my favorite cabins is 2546 and it is in a great location!!! Deck 2 is very convenient to many things onboard and you will not be disappointed in the location. We heard no noise there.

It is very nice that you were upgraded....enjoy it!!!

Deck 2 is great. Actually from personal experience lower is better for sea sickness. We usually stay cat 9 but on deck 2 and like it. Would I chose a cat 6? Sure if I wanted to spend the $$$ but if I got cat 10 and paid for cat 12 I would be very happy.

We are currently booked in two Cat. 11 rooms in January. I would love to be upgraded to a Cat 10 on any deck.

We were just down on deck 2 for our cruise in October. I personally LOVED it down there, it was quiet and I didn't get sick at all. We too booked a category 12 and were certainly hoping for a 9, but we loved the room and said we wouldn't book above it in the future (except for Alaska since that is about the scenery). ENJOY!

This room looks like its right under Rockin Bar D. Did anyone experience any noise at night from it? We have a room close by in a few days, so I was wondering how much the noise was an issue?
Thanks!

Our first cruise was on the Wonder in May on Deck 2. My wife can be prone to motion sickness and had a little anxiety about it. She had no problems and we absolutely loved the Deck 2 location.
