WL and Boat to MK ? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Is this boat the large one, like the one that takes you from MK to Transportation Center?

On that large one, we've never had to fold up our stroller......just wondering if we'll have to on this one.

No it is not the BIG boat that goes to the TTA.

The morning runs from WL to MK was a good size boat, but not the huge ferry type.

In the afternoons the boat to and from WL to MK was a small boat.

A stroller will fit fine on any vessel. The crew is very helpful!

Only boat you should have to fold the stroller up on would be the resort launch that runs between CR and WL. There is also one of those that runs between the MK and Poly and GF.

We like the bus in the morning and the boat in the afternoon. The boat in the am runs from FW to WL to MK. It took 4 boats before being able to board, standing room only. The bus will have you at MK in less than 5 mins, we had just miss the bus and it was back in less than 10 mins.

There are two boats that will come to the WL:

One is a dedicated boat just for the WL and it goes directly to MK.

Second boat makes the loop with: WL & FW and CR, this boat does not go to MK.

More Dis-information above that is totally off-base.

Currently, 1 motor cruiser (66' 120 ppl max) and 1 motor launch (45' 39 ppl max) service the WL to/from the MK on this dedicated route. Each flies a red flag on the bow. Ops begin at 0830 daily and 1 hour earlier for morning EMHs. Last trip from the MK to the WL is about 1 hour after the MK closes. Boats to the WL run until about 1 hour after the end of evening EMHs.

Strollers must be folded for the motor launch - no exceptions - and the launch cannot accommodate ECVs.

Didn't think my information was totally off base. This is what I saw and did on my WL vacation for 7 days in August. Parents carried sleeping babies on board with strollers and a lady in a wheel chair boarded with no problem.

Maybe on the cruiser - but definitely not on the launch.

And, both the cruiser and launch run in the afternoons - not just the launch as you imply.
