Chip n Dale Campfire or balloon in DTD

Not sure where to post this, but has anyone ever done the Campfire Sing along with Chip n Dale? Is it worth it?? If we had time to do only one which one would you do? My mom really wants to do the campfire, but I'm just not sure if it will be worth all the trouble. hahaha

Since the Chip and Dale campfire is free, I would say its totally worth it.

Bring your own Smore ingredients (and sticks) because they really do charge a fortune if you buy them there.

I would do the balloon in DTD in a heartbeat though!

Yep free is always good. Hmm I just don't know what to do. I'm afraid that we will only have time to do one and I don't know which to do. LOL

Time wise I thought the campfire was a burden, I am not sure where you are staying but we were at Pop and we left I believe two hours early and still were late. For whatever reason that night they were only having one boat run from the campground to the MK, & we just happened to miss it. So we waited fourty minutes for a boat to come, plus a twenty minute boat ride there, so in all an hour trip for the boat. Then once we got there we still had to figure out the internal bus system, and wait for a bus. Then we had to walk from the bus stop to the sing along, which was about a five minute walk. That time it was more trouble than it was worth.

I went again a few weeks ago with my bf though and had a much better experience. We still waited a good twenty minutes for a boat(again just missed it), and then the twenty minute ride there, plus bussing ect. Still we spent about an hour getting there/back. The show is still cute, but not something I would do over. I did enjoy the movies afterwards though but I am a Disney movie freak. It was uncomfortable seating, so be prepared for that.

Time wise, DTD would be better.

DTD balloon is $16 for 10 and above. I believe children 3-9 are $10. And as the other posters mentioned, Chip n Dale campfire is free.

The other thing to keep in mind also with the DTD balloon is that MANY times it is not running. They are very careful when it comes to winds or inclement weather of any kind (even the slightest breeze will shut it down).

We stay at SSR and the past 2 times we've been there after they balloon opened it seemed like it was grounded at least 1/2 the time we were there and in some of the cases there was barely a breeze?

I am worried about the time of getting to the Campfire. We are staying at All Star Music, and I really don't want to spend lots of time "getting" there. We are planning on getting to Disney around 4pm so we would have to go straight there. I would rather just go to Downtown or go spend some time in Epcot for the EMH I think. Now to talk my mom into it. lol

The campfire is a lot of fun if you have little ones with you. My boys love it. We usually buy the marshmallows there, it is about $5 with 2 sticks.

We drive there from our hotel. Once there, the bus to the area with the campfire is only about a two minute ride. The buses come often.

We haven't tried the balloon ride yet.
