Addicted to cruising

Hey E & B Mom!

I am sooo addicted to cruising now. We are pikers compared to other families...this will be our fourth cruise, but I can see why people love it. We are going to WDW on the 20th and will stay in the Saratoga Springs resort, and then go to the Dream on the 23rd. Looking forward to the whole week.

Belle....we love cruising. This will be our 7th. We are flying in just the night before and staying at the airport Hyatt. I wish we could come earlier. It looks like our DD are the same age!! That would be nice if they hang out. DD has made a bunch of friends she still talks to on our other cruises. DS will be 14 so hopefully there will be someone his age.

We head out tomorrow for Universal to do Harry Potter and Monday we move over to Beach Club until Sunday!!!! We are soooooooooo excited!!!

Ooooh. Storm along bay. I am so jealous. I could live at the Beach Club...except for wanting to live on a cruise. Sigh. I hope you enjoy your trip.

We will definitely have to get those girls together on our cruise. DD is always looking for new buddies.

I love the Magic and Wonder so much , especially the Wonder, that I can't imagine a ship double their size would be an improvement. We decided to give it a try, but I am concerned. I have been reading Dream trip reports hoping to allay my fears. Now I am looking at the trip as an experiment and a fix for my cruise addiction.

We love Beach Club too!! We stayed last year and had a great time.

I am a little nervous but still think it will be a blast. I do love the Magic and Wonder. We can always switch back if the Dream is not for us....but I'm sure it will be!!

We leave for the airport shortly. Have a great week everyone!!!!

The dream is big and it took a couple of days to get use to her. Can't wait till this November when I sail on her again.

Thanksgiving Dream

Hi Frangi,
Thanks for telling us about the Dream. We're looking forward tro it. At the same time, I am worried about the size. We have always had a late dinner and gone to shows early. Then we do the adult entertainment after dinner. Is that schedule still possible? Are the "night clubs" too crowded? Is there a show between the stage show and the late dinner, like on the Wonder??? I guess we will just have to wait. Belle

First time cruisers

We cant wait for our first family cruise! The kids dont even know they are going. We are going to spend a couple days in the park before we go. I have to start reading up on everything we need to do to get ready. Any suggestions that we should do with our 2 boys (9 and 7 at sailing) would be appreciated.

I think your boys will love the cruise. There is so much to do. More than that, you will have some time for YOU. It's going to be great!!!

Sadly, I will not be on your cruise, but I'd love to lurk and read trip reports (hint, hint). We are booked for the Thanksgiving 2012 cruise. If you decide to do it again next year, please swing by the 2012 cruise meet thread. Enjoy your planning!

My Family is going!!!

I just booked this Cruise TODAY!!! It will be my DS7 first Cruise and mine and DH's first Disney Cruise. I have started reading the boards and the first thing I found was the FE Exchange. Someone said you start by finding your travel date thread under Cruise Meets.

Is there one for this cruise started yet? I would love to do this.

Also, if you have been on a Thanksgiving Cruise before can you tell me if they do anything special because it's a Holiday? Also, what is the weather like? I'm really excited and can't wait to start planning all the little extras. I'm not telling my DS until we get to the airport. My DH has an idea but I only asked if he would want to go IF I could find the money. I haven't told him I already had the money.

I can't wait to talk with others who will be on this trip.

We will be there!

My family ( and some extended family) will be onboard to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise, but 5th cruise altogether. We are starting the trip off with 3 nights at Disney in a Grand Villa at Saratoga Springs!! Woo hoo
There will be 10 of us total and we cannot wait!!

We have done the Christmas cruise on the Magic and they had special decorations and a special meal on-board and at CC. There was also a time for kids with Santa but of course that isn't relevant for this cruise. I suspect there will be a special meal for sure.
