Anyone want to go to the Flag Retreat on Wednesday? - The DIS Discussion Forums

One of the things I like to do is go to the Flag Retreat @ Disneyland every now and then. I'm planning on going there this Wednesday - Veterans Day. If you're in the park that day, anyone want to join me?

Oh I wish! Please represent me in spirit, which means you need to sing "anchors aweigh" very loudly

to honor my DF's 24 years of service.

Oh man Mary Jo, I wish I could go! I went a couple of weeks ago when we were in DL, it was a trip highlight for me. Enjoy and what a nice way to honor Veterans on your part!

Dlander, I'll be wearing a Passporter pouch around my neck, and there will be lime-green Mickey heads in the little pouch window. I'll be somewhere around the flagpole.

Judy -- I'll try & sing loudly, but really, we'll be doing everyone else a favor if I don't sing too loudly, if you know what I mean.

Amy&Dan -- This is one of my favorite things to do at Disneyland, but I always embarrass myself with the tears streaming down my face & red nose, but, what're you going to do? I can't stop them, so the tears stream down. This time I'll bring tissues.

TinkandPooh -- Maybe next time.

Anyone who goes at the last minute, you're welcome to join us.

Mary Jo, I also get teary eyed during this ceremony. In fact, I know now to bring kleenex and was able to share one with a couple who was very moved by it as well! So you are not alone!
