Question Quick Kona Cafe Question

Hi all
We have an ADR at the Poly (Kona Cafe) and our plan is to watch the EWP and Wishes from the Beach area after dinner
I have three quick questions
1. Can you take drinks from the Tambu Lounge outside to enjoy or do you have to stay in the lounge?
2. Is the torch lighting ceremony every day? Our ADR is for a Sunday evening and I have a feeling it doesn't happen that day
3. We are staying off propoerty and wondered if there would be restrictions on how long we could park as we would want to make a full evening of it and Wishes isn't showing until 10pm and our ADR is at 7.20pm
Thanks

It is pretty darn sad when a valet picks you out as a big Boma eater

Yes you can take cocktails from the Tambu Lounge anywhere, to the pool, the beach, our room, to Kona...we did without problem

You can park up to 3 hours for your dining reservation, after that they can ticket or tow you car, I forget which

How do they know how long your car has been sitting in the parking lot?

Just curious.

They log you in when you go through the guard gate and give you a time stamped ticket

Thanks for the info
This is a real shame as our ADR at Kona is for 7.20pm and Wishes is at 10pm and we really wanted to watch this from the beach
We would be arriving at the Poly at at least 7pm so we would be there for over 3 hours
If we explain this to the security guards would they let us park for a little bit longer?

At that time of day I don't think you have to be too concerned. They may not even give you a parking pass. We have driven there for dinner and not been given one. I think they are far more concerned about people coming in the morning and then leaving their car in the Poly lot, while they go to MK for the day.
