HoJo vs Fairfield - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi,
We are going to stay 2 nights in Jan. On a budget, so no Disney hotel for us. However, the HoJo and Fairfield seem to be very close and very good. The rates are similar that I have found. We have never been to Disneyland. (OK, I was there 30 years ago, but that doesn't count!) For those of you who have been to these hotels, which do you like better and why? Thanks!

I've stayed at the Hojo in a Premium room and it had several little problems (power outlets too loose, Wi-Fi needed repaired and they came to repair it when we were in the parks so if my mom hadn't been there it wouldn't've happened, etc.) and the air conditioning is really loud. The walk looks longer than it is from Fairfield but they are literally across a small street from each other so I'm not sure the distance is THAT much longer.

I've heard nothing but good things about Fairfield and I would personally stay there if the prices were the same. But I'm cheap and Hojo was too.

We were looking at the Fairfield, but it was sold out for our dates (I'm not entirely sure why...) We found that there's a Disboards code for the Hojo, about 15% off: LNDB

I've always been partial to Fairfield. It's always been affordable, friendly staff, clean rooms and a 5 minute walk to the park. We use it almost every trip.

When are you going in Jan? If it's during a Hojo's Entertainment Rate time (50% off), then I'd pick Hojo's hands down! Here is the site to check for your dates: http://www.hojoanaheim.com/boards/vi....php?f=13&t=14

Otherwise, I think they're probably about on par with one another. Hojo's has nice landscaping, free parking and indoor corridors, Fairfield is a bit closer and newer. I have stayed at HJ's several times and will be staying at FFI for the first time next Thurs. I have a free night at a Marriott property thanks to mypoints so I'm giving FFI a try.
